If you have a multi meter, connect to pump terminals in situ and put on drain program. if no volts then points to a timer fault. if volts present, points to a blocked drain hose or faulty pump. remember you are testing with no load

My kenmore He is not draining the clothes are ver wet. timing is wrong I cleaned out the pump it still isnt draining not draining

If you have a wet-dry vac, put it on the end of the drain hose and **** it out. There may be something blocking the line that you can't see.

Frigidair Affinity quit spinning

it osund like the machine isnt draining the water witch could be one of two things it could be that the outlet pipe is blocked between the machine and where it goes into the outlet in the wall this will need chcking and making sure there is no blockage the other problem is the pump has gone and this will cause the washing machine to cut off or there could be a build up of limescale witch could cause the machine to cut off as a safety precaution hope this helps you if you want to do it yourself you can check all pipes and remove these and replace as this is easy enough to do but to replace the pump this is an expensuve option and can be difficult to replace hope this is some help to you you could try leaving machine unplugeed for a couple of hours and this will reset the timer then try the mnachine if it is a intermitant problem then it could be that you need to replace the timer

Washer went through cycle but washer was still full of water and laundry. Did not appear to have spun either. Turned the timer to spin and the timer made noise but did not spin or drain. Water has since...

sounds like the pump is goosed.....or may be just blocked............a penny is the ideal size to block a pump and stop it working...........let me know the outcome....
cheers

How to wire a intermatic timer T104 240 v to a 120v?

T104 is 240volt timer.
Timer has terminals A 1 2 3 4
T-104 clock motor must receive 240Volts to operate.
Clock motor wires are white-colored and can be seen connected to terminals 1 and 3.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Back-of-WH40-2b.jpg

There are two work-arounds for using T104 for 120V.

1) Diagram 1 showing how to change wiring:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/T-104-control-120V-Load-500.jpg
Move 240V clock motor wires to terminal 1 and A.
Connect 240V Hot leads to terminals 1 and A. This will power the 240V clock motor
Hot wire going to 120V load connects to terminal 2. This wire will be turned on each time timer turns on, and 120Volts will power the 120V load.
To complete 120V circuit, neutral wire that comes from neutral busbar in breaker box connects to 120V load.

To control additional 120Volt circuit, run jumper wire from terminal 1 to terminal 3.
Connect Hot to second load to terminal 4.

2) Second method is to change T104 timer into T103 timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/T-104-control-120V-Load-2-5.jpg
Replace T104 240V clock with identical 120V clock motor from Grainger
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Time-Clock-Motor-1PNK1?Pid=search
Neutral wires connect to terminal A.
Hot wire from Breaker connects to terminal 1
Hot going to Load connects to terminal 2

To control additional 120Volt circuit, run jumper wire from terminal 1 to terminal 3.
Connect Hot to second load to terminal 4.

GE washer will not empty when put into spin cycle

If the washer spins but does not drain the water out, then your pump is not working. If it is a newer model, then it has a separate motor to run the pump than it has for the spin cycle. If this is indeed the case, then there are a few things that could cause this:

1) the pump itself is bad
2) the pump motor is bad
3) the timer isn't sending power to the pump motor.

depending on your level of mechanical competency, you could try to check at the pump to see/hear/feel if the pump seems like it is running during the drain/spin cycle. If it does not give any indication of movement, check the power going to the pump. There should be a connector the pump plugs into, check there for 120V A/C with the proper meter/test light. if the power is present and the motor isn't running, you've found your problem.

If the motor does sound like it's running, the pump itself is likely bad or you have a blockage in one of the hoses to or from the pump.

If no power to the pump motor, verify that you have the timer in the drain/spin cycle. If you do, then it is likely your timer is bad.

Hope this helps

Drain pump starts and stops prior to final spin cycle

Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, Catriver..post back.
