Question about Sharp 20F-630 20" TV

Connecting the video camera to a computer

I have a video camera Sharp Model VL-H860 serial No.909398620, works very well and I wonder If would be possible to save the tapes in a PC since the computer has the same three jacks (video, audio left, audio right) like a TV have when connecting the video camera as a VCR. My computer is a Gateway GM5442 serial No.CCW74 710 01950 If so, how can I do it, is there any software to be installed and where can I get it.
Thanks for your advise

Absolutely insufficient. All you say is "try using nero", but what is "nero", you have to understand that I am not an expert and for such reason I asked your assistance and the answer has to be clear. If there is not a person with the capacity to answer my question, it is ok and please refund me the payment.
    Thank you very much.

Following your instructions, I got NERO but it didn't work. If you check such software, it has the following menu options: Start page, Rip and burn, Create and Edit, Home entertainment, Back up, and under "Create and Edit" I found the only applicable option for my problem and it is "Author, edit, and captures video". Under this option I selected "capture video to hard drive", then "capture device" but the two options are for TV channels and no one for VCR (video camera). I spent many hours trying to capture the video camera and I couldn't. I hope you can find a real solution.

In... order for the computer to rcognize your video camera you have to install a driver. if you do not have a driver install cd you can download the driver from your cameras manufactures web site. once this is accomplished you will then be able to hook up through your patch cables and when you do a screen will come up with option tabs. this will allow you to transfer your files. if the files have a different format. a window will pop up and you will be able to download the codec that will allow your computer to read the files. this may take some time but be patient please rate this ......thanks

Hi there there are free programs for you to download. If your computer has the same connections as the camera you are one step ahead I have some links for you and there are many programs that let you convert the analog /tape signal to a digital format

If your movies are in 8mm or Hi8 format, you have a simpler option:
Today's Digital8 camcorders can play those older formats just fine.
That means you don't have to rig a Rube Goldberg-style plumbing system
from your VCR to your camcorder to your PC. Instead, just put your old
Hi8 tape in the camcorder, press Play, and capture the video in digital
    format on your PC.
Unfortunately, you can't do the same for VHS.
VHS and mini-DV tapes are so different that no camcorders can play
both. Digital8 camcorders, on the other hand, can read analog 8mm tapes
because Sony intentionally designed the format for backward
    compatibility. Score one for Sony.

    Making MoviesFinally,
now that the video is on your PC, all you need is some DVD production
software to finish the job. DVD software can help you break the video
into chapters, add menus at the beginning of the disc, and write the
whole video to a recordable DVD using your PC's DVD-R drive.
    To
date, the only consumer drives capable of writing to the widely
compatible DVD-R write-once format have been DVD-RW and the
    latest-generation DVD-RAM models. Soon, however, second-generation
DVD+RW drives will offer the capability to write to DVD+R write-once
discs. Industry experts suggest that movies on both DVD-R and DVD+R
discs should be compatible with about 85 percent of home DVD players.
Movies put on DVD-RW and DVD+RW rewritable discs, on the other hand,
tend to work with only about half the home DVD players out there. Of
course, compatibility is less likely with older DVD players.
Some good DVD production packages include Pinnacle Systems' Pinnacle Express (about $34), Sonic Solutions' MyDVD ($79), and Ulead's DVD MovieFactory (about $44).

My TV Model is Sharp Model 21BM2G and Serial No. C812522096. It is locked and asking for password which I do not have or have no knowledge of a password

try hitting "return" when it asks for password. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does if you haven't set it you're self. Also look in your users guide. There may be a default that they use.

What type of port does this have at the back?

Hi:
The only port on the back of this model is a Composite Video input, for connecting a VCR/DVD etc. Their is also the coax cable connector, you also have a video input 2 in the front of the set for connecting even more video accessories..

I am trying to install ROKU video streamer into my Sharp TV model 27KS300. Roku says to plug their red/yellow/white RCA cable into the video in ports on your TV. I do this but nothing happens. I am...

Yes these are the same yellow white and red ports that you would use to connect your DVD player. I believe this television has one port in the front and one in the back. I might be wrong but I believe video 1 is in the back and video 2 is in the front. If you have tried video 1 and video 2 making sure you have pressed the video/input button to select the proper one after connecting your Roku then you have done everything properly. Make sure to try a different RCA cable to make sure it is not the cable that is causing the problem. Also try the Roku on a different television because if it is working on a different television with the same RCA cable then you'll know that it isn't compatible with this particular television.

I have an insignia 24 tv and i cant get the audio

You will also need to connect audio from the audio output on your computer to the TV. I would recommend consulting the owner's manual for your TV as is should include detailed instructions for connecting your computer. Search for your TV model number at InsigniaProducts.com.

I got a tv combination serial No:553-2988818D model No:C1500SL can I set up a home security camera up on it

If the security camera has a standard video output (RCA yellow cable-most do) and the TV has a video input (RCA yel. for video and wht (red) for sound) you can use a video camera.
If no video input on the TV you can use a RF converter from the camera to use the TV on CH3.
Google RF converter for more info if needed - post back with make of tv if needed. Be sure to rate or vote for me if this was helpful
