What dose FH mean on the display it keeps coming up and not working untill i reset the mains the it works for a bit then FH comes back up and it stops pls could you tell me what that means thank you We started our washer without realizing our water had been turned off. The washer started flashing FH(meaning insufficient water supply) three minutes into the wash. We pushed the cancel button and the washer paused. We pushed the cancel button for the second time to cancel the wash but the wash will not cancel out. The time left in the cycle just keeps flashing. We cannot cancel the wash and holding the start button will not work either. The cycle time just keeps flashing. We have poured 1 liter of water in the fabric softener dispencer and the water sounds as though it is being pumped out??? The door is locked and we cannot open it or abort the wash cycle.

    THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We followed your advice and used the manual release to open the door. The machine reset and we are back in business. It would be great if our owner's manual explained this as well as cleaning out the pump before it becomes stopped up. Your web site is the greatest!

Okay, ther manufacturer recommends unplugging the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. It could be you have a momentary glitch causing some problems. If you still have the same problem after leaving the washer unplugged, the following link explains the "FH" error code:

If your clothes are stuck inside and you still cannot get them out because the door will not unlock, you will have to use the manual release to open the door. The next link explains how:

I hope this helps you. If you require additional assistance, please let me know.

FP means faulty pump, on most cases coins, bra wires or hair grips in the pump.

Fold down the filter cover on the front right and remove it by screwing anticlockwise, remove by pulling, then remove debris and replace. Don't forget to put 1 litre of wter into fabric dispenser to reactivate the pump.

Whirlpool awm 8103/s keeps stopping during cycle with code FH displayed? any suggestions

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Whirlpool's 'FH' stands for 'no water inlet' (but goodness knows how 'FH' could mean that!)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Whirlpool awm 8125/3 fault code FH

Probably too late, but here it goes:
FH means some cicle is taking too long time.
Replace the inlet electrical valve. It probably wont open enough and the water flow is not enough to fill to level in time. This should cost you 10€ and is easily done by anyone.
Just remove the top of the machine (two bolts on the rear and slide to the back), disconnect the valve (electrical and water input and output), push the lockers and twist the valve free.
