Re: Copy file

There are many ways to copy a file to the Toshiba Pocket PC. Here are two easy ways.. via the Explorer when the Software ActiveSync is installed on your Personal Computer, a new entry can found on the left side of the Explorer Windows.A simple click on the "Mobile Device" will allow you access to the file system of the Pocket PC. via the ActiveSync Program when you open the ActiveSync Software you can find the "Explore" Button in the Toolbar. A clicking to this Button will open a new Window with the file system of the Pocket PC. Simple mark your file on your PC, "Copy" the file and "Paste" it to the file system of your PocketPC

Hi, i want install the smartphoneaddcert.exe in my Dolphin 7850

This file is a Win32 executable zip file. Run it on your PC. You'll be prompted to unzip the contents. You'll notice that it will generate a number of files in the directory you have specified. One of them is 'SpAddCert.exe'. Copy only this file to your PPC device. There, create a folder named 'Storage' in the root of the device (not in the storage card!), and copy your certificate(s) - .cer files - to it, since it's the only place where SpAddCert searches for certificates. Run SpAddCert on your device and follow the prompts. After installing your cetificate(s), restart your device.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos

Need to transfer files from the Hx4705 main memory to the installed SD card using only the HX4705

Go to 'Start > Programs > File Explorer'. Chose the directory containing the file you want to copy by tapping the application's top bar. Tap and hold the file to be copied, until a context menu pops up. Select 'Copy'. Now, choose the Storage Card from the top bar. Once there, tap on 'Menu > Edit > Paste'. Your file should be copied.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos

Numerical photos

So you can just copy a jpeg file over to the IPAQ and then click on that file and it will display it. It's best to resize your photo down to below 100KB before you copy it to the IPAQ.

Cannot copy files to the Axim

Try disconnecting your Axim from your PC, then open ActiveSync on your PC, and delete the partnership. Next, reconnect your Axim X5, and go through the connection wizard again, and create a new partnership.

Cannot copy large files to my SD card

Yes , the Activesync connection is not reliable for large files. You really would be best to get a USB card reader, also it would be MUCH, MUCH faster.

Copy files.

Best way, especially if you have a lot or if they're large (like music or movies), is with a USB card reader connected to your PC.

EM-500 music transfer

Seeing that you are using a EM500 with only 16mb of RAM, you might want to get a SD/MMC Card. With that being said, let's do this, shall we? Connect your PPC to your desktop using ActiveSync, then press on the TAB "Explore" then "My Pocket PC". You are interest in the "My Documents" folder, that is where you will place your .WMA, MP3, OGG files. Just copy the music file from your desktop that you want on your PPC, and then paste it to the "My Documents" folder of your PPC. Now if you have a storage card (MMC/SD), you will have to create a folder on the storage card and name it to "My Documents". So you will then have 2 My Documents folders, one on storage card, and 1 on the PPC. If you want the Music file on the storage card to save space on your PPC, then do the following. Connect the PPC to your desktop using activesync, then press on the TAB "Explore" then "My Pocket PC". You then need to click on the "Storage Card" folder, there you will see your "My Documents" folder you created. Just copy the music file from your desktop that you want on your PPC, then paste it to that folder. To speed things up, you can also use a MMC/SD Reader. you can then copy and paste directly on the memory card, without going thru ActiveSync. Goodluck, and have fun!
