Your Convergence ICs have failed. Replace the STK chips, check fuses and the resistors next to the STK chips. Replace as necessary and re-align via the service menu.
Use this simple test to verify. Go to the users menu on the tv. Look for the converge option to align the red and blue colors
If you cannot move the red either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for red section. If you cannot move the blue either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for the blue section.
If you can move both in each direction then the problem is something else.
Note if one STK chip fails, you replace both regardless.
you need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-110 you can get replacements at the following link with free installation instructions so you can do the repair yourself. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
I have the same problem and was told that I needed a new convergance chip. They told me who deals in the problems where I live, (TV Repairman) It will cost me 300 for a six year chip and 350 for a life time chip! I was told by the repairman that these chip only last up to 6 years if they are not lifetime. I see alot of this same problem going on right now. These tv were manufactured in 2001, but no one was ever told that these chip would need to be replaced in so few years after spending all that money on the TV. Pasonic would not tell me the price of the chip nor how to get one, were very unwilling to help with the problem other than telling me who do go to locally, so you would have to go thru a tv service where you are.
Sounds like the green is out of focus.
If the focus control for the green does not control it enough to make the width the same as the red, then, the lens on top of the green can be adjusted to focus that tube.
On the lens, there is a wing nut on a screw to loosen it and move the lens left or right a bit to help with the focus.
Hope this helps.
