Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

1 Answer

Visual All of a sudden all of my games have a video problem. They all play perfectly well, but there are these 'dots' and this grid-like pattern on the screen. They are not over powering, but they are very annoying. Is my console just getting wore out? Or is there something I can do. I've already checked all connections. Thanx

Games playing but theres no screen just blank you can here games

I will ask that you check for the following if the AV-cord is good and if that is good proceed to checking if the pins on the TV are OK but should all this be in perfect condition then your visual board should be faulty and a certified technician should do the replacement. Check

Black pattern efferct when I play any game on my Xbox 360

Make sure your cables are connected properly, It would also be helpful if you can try on another tv.

If the problem is solved, your TV is not supporting 60hz video or is dying.

Hope it helps

Ps3..wont play movies or games..???

It could be just because of a dirty laser lens. Try using some lens paper with some cleaning solution on it; I had the same problem once & this fixed it perfectly.

Screen fills with black lines and dots when playing games

Does it ever get the Red Ring of Death? If not, it sounds like it will soon. I have lost 2 360s that way.

Xbox 360

ok, try going through all the different video cables till one works, same as the ps3 you have to go into the setting and tell the 360 what type of video setting you want to use, once you find the one that is active then you can go into the setting and change it around - if you have already tried this then the video processor is fried and you need a tek to fix,
keep me posted
