This is not normal.you could have a pressure hold valve that isn`t holding pressure when the car is shut off causing this or something in the system causing it,and when you start the car the compressor starts and pumps up and the ride height returns.these are difficult systems to find the problem so i would suggest you take it to shop that can do this type of work or the dealer and get it fixed.

One tire not showing pressure replaced tire sensor still not

After TPMS sensor replacement or tire rotation, reprogramming is required. 1. key on engine off, parking brake on. 2. turn park lights on and off 4 times you will hear a horn chirp twice, you are in program mode. Start at L/F tire release air for 10 seconds, wait 15 seconds until horn chirp, after chirp go to R/F tire do the same until horn chirp then R/R let air out til the chirp then L/R do the same after the L/R chirp, turn key off and you are done, note you have only 5 min. to complete. If you do not hear horn chirp at each tire, you will have to start from beginning. When complete, remember to add air to each tire, 35 psi is recommended.

Air valve leaking air thru it when u release tractor parking brake 1999 379 Peterbilt

If it's the same air valve that releases the parking brake then replace it so the brakes won't drag because of low air pressure. Air is APPLIED to release the brake so if the system air pressure starts to go low the parking brake will start to apply. This will eventually cause the brake drum to overheat and possibly start a tire fire.

06 Lincoln navigator front left air spring is flat and not operating

Try this from my previous post....

Have a similar problem... My 2003 Lincoln Navigator was manufactured May 22, 2003 so it's the late model that came with the Intec 5.4 Liter DOHC V-8 (not the Triton engine).

I replaced the two front ride height sensors (one for each air strut) and replaced the one rear ride height sensor that controls the ride height for BOTH rear air struts. (Yours may have one ride height sensor for each of the rear air struts.) That solved the problem for a few months during the warm months, until the weather started cooling off. Then back to the same issue.

The front passenger air strut started releasing air from the solenoid (air block) making a "hissing sound." Replaced BOTH front air strut solenoids (connected at the top of each air strut). That also resolved the problem for a few days. After going all around the world, I discovered it's the Air Ride Control Module (ASM) that was the problem all along.

I HAVE REPLACED NEW THERMASTAT AND NEW WATER PUMP, BUT STILL NO HEAT.WHAT ELSE CAN BE MY PROBLEM ? THIS IS A1995 FORD WINDSTAR VAN.

Maybe you didn't bleed all of the air out of your coolant systtem.
I had a very similar problem, last month, my heat would not go above 50 degrees F.

I had air in my heater core.

I put wheel blocks behind the back tires and engaged the emergancy brake.
I jacked the front of my van up so both tires were off the ground (about 3")
I removed the radiator cap, started the engine, and turned the heat on high.
I added antifreeze, until it was full.
I let the engine continue to run, as I watched the antifreeze level go back down, then I added more antifreeze.
After doing this 2 times, I squeezed and held the upper radiator hose. I did not release it.
I started pouring more antifreeze in and when it started to over-flow, I still kept pouring as slowly released the hose.
With the raditator level full, I replaced the cap and put some antifreeze in the coolant reservoir.
Lowered the front back to the ground and removed the tire blocks.
I stuck a guage in the inside vent and I now get a 125 degree reading.

Note...after I got the van jacked up, it only took me 15 minutes to get the air out of the system (mainly, because I squeezed and held the hose).

2000 Sienna exclamation light on dash

That usually means that one or more of your tires has dropped below the level of air pressure that the manufacturer recommends. It is basically a low pressure warning light. This way you will know to find a place to check your tire pressures. Look on your tires sidewall and you will find a cold psi rating and a hot or warm psi rating. The tire pressures need to stay within those parameters in order for the light to not come on. As the tire warms from motion the air inside begins to expand and will read a higher pressure than if the tire is cold. Check your pressures and if any of the tires have a low pressure (below 30 psi) it should be inspected...........Or you may be leaving your emergency brake on. Pull up then push down to release a hand break lever and push all the way down and pull hard on the release lever for a foot brake. Another possibility is the car needs brake pads soon.

How do you "manually" bleed the air bags in a 96 Lincoln Cont. ?

Shut off pump switch located in drivers side panel door in trunk. Jack up car at frame and support with jack stands. This will make sure the car does not come down on you when you release the air.
Pop retaining off of solenoid valve located at top of airbag and turn valve to first stop till air starts releasing
