I got a prompt asking me if I wanted to format my storage card on my H3950, and I denied. Now that I have deleted the files I need to off that card, how can I manually format it, or get that prompt again?

Remove the storage card from your device, insert your storage card to card reader and plug it in your PC, open my computer, right click on the storage card drive icon, select format. This the best way to format card and if you want to format entire cell then you have to do it just manually deleting files and contacts. or i suppose, by formatting, you mean to reset the phone to the factory settings.. you can do it by start > settings > system > clear storage or else you can do it by pinning the reset hole with the help of the stylus hope it helps
if you want to erase all ..just get to the menu ...storage ..and memory card ..and choose format ..this will erase all into the camera and format the card again which is a good thing in case you had errors.. anyway ..in the view mode..it has to have something called multiple deleting or erasing ...and in there you can sort the pictures by name and delete them all at once ..
assuming that you are talking about a memory card ..just get into view mode..and on the menu choose storage ..than options and clear memory card ..or ..just again in view mode..choose a picture and options and when you try to delete will ask for multiple delete ...select them all and delete ..or just insert the card into a card reader and when it shows in the my computer folder open it ..select all pictures and than press delete .. the fastest way though is to simple select in the main menu the storage ...in there select card ..and on options format card ...this will erase all on it ..and format it in the same time for best performance in the device ..
first try to see if the card is not locked from the side ..It has a little button that locks it ...after that insert the card into a computer with a card reader ..and format it in Fat mode...by opening my computer folder...right click on the removable storage device ...and choose format ...when it opens choose Fat ..and quick format ..than OK ..this will format it for the first time ..and after that isert it in the camera and see if it is seen ..
if the format card is not available now..(to format it in the camera again and be sure it is the right way and make the folders fro storage ) .. goto storage feature in the main menu ..and choose to store in teh card ..in tis moment will prompt you to format ...or ..just choose a picture from the camera memory in the view mode..and options ..and try to move it in the card ..if it is not proper formatted will ask you to format it ..and give you the possibility to make it right the way by asking you if you want to format it now...choose ok..and that's all..But I suspect that if you unlock it ..and format it in a computer will work like a charm ...
Hi, If you want to delete all folders in memory card of DSC-S650 then format it through Format option in camera Menu. And if you want to delete just one folder among other folders in memory card then hook camera with computer, click My Computer icon, click Mass Storage (new drive letter) and delete desired folder. If you have additional question, let me know. Thanks.
