After my clothes have completed the wash cycle, I find I have black marks on some of the clothes. It looks like they were washed with a black felt tip pen. Have you heard of this situation and do you have a solution?

Hi, I moved my Frigidaire Front Loading Washer MOdel # LTF2940FE1 to my new laundry room. It was working before and now it's giving me a reading of ddo. Upon doing a little research I found out how to get the error code number and it is E14, which is a reed switch, but I haven't a clue what that is. Can you tell me and if it will be difficult to replace myself. I'm pretty handy with tools, my husband recently had a stroke and isn't able to do things like this yet. Help please?!
Hello Loree Grudem - This can be the result of the shaft bearing and seal. They may have become worn and the transmission oil is creeping up to get in your water. Once this happens, it gets on your clothes to cause staining. Or possibly you have a buildup of fabric softener that comes loose and puts a greasy like substance in your water and on your clothing. Once you put your clothes in the dryer and the old fabric softener melts you will see these spots. I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
Pour 2/3 cup of liquid chlorine bleach into the bleach compartment of the dispenser drawer of your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer.
Run your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer on the "Clean Washer" setting. Press "Start" to start the cycle.
Leave the door open once the cycle is complete to allow the inside of your Maytag Neptune front-loading washer to ventilate and air dry.
Look closely at the gray seal of the Maytag Neptune front-loading washer's door opening. This seal can have a buildup of debris or detergent residue.
Spray the seal with an all-purpose appliance cleaner and scrub away any debris or residue with a cloth or scrubbing pad. Dry with a clean cloth.
Remove the soap dispenser drawer. Press the release lever and lift it out to clean.
Take out the inserts and rinse them and the drawer thoroughly.
Wash with a mild soap and cloth to remove any residue. Dry thoroughly before replacing.
