Rear driver side window

My driver side sliding door is catching on the rear window. The window latch has broken and the window flops open. Since the window flops open, the door now catches on the window. I can see that the window is sitting out further than the other side. The window seem secure but somehow has moved out. How can I fix this.

2000 EXPEDITION REAR SIDE DOOR

Sounds like the child lock has been put on, it's to stop children from opening the door. Open the door, look at the door catch, there is a slide switch near the catch, try sliding it the opposite way. compare it's position to the one on the other side.

Can´t open the rear tail gate/door. Have tried the emergency opening option (holding down the 2 lock buttons in the car) but that didn´t work either. When pressing the rear door "handle" to open...

If you squeese the handle put your head near the badge you should hear one micro switch operating the window and a noise like well hard to explain but its a solenoid operating the rear latch after the window drops, you can get the inside panel off bit hard with door locked; at bottom of door panel is four philips screws take them out and then the panel pulls from the bottom up,cut round water shredder and you can operate latch manually to get it open then check to see if micro switch in handle is working its not a rear wiper fault or window fault as they work, the relay for the rear door latch and the rear window are behind the offside rear quarter panel 3 connectors for rear door electrics, the relays are up by the seat at top,its not normally a relay issue either rear door latch solenoid or micro switch in back handle but rule out the handle as window works.

Disconect battery and wait 5 min and try again it worked on mine.

Hope helps.

I recently purchased a used 03 Chevy Venture van. The passenger sliding door doesn't open. It worked for 1 week and stopped. The driver side sliding door has a broken handle so I'm able to open that door...

Pain but fixable. Sounds like the linkage is not connected. Even a mechanic will have to remove the door panel and fight with it. If you can remove the rear seat from the drivers side side door then you might have room to remove the passenger side door panel to fix it. Usually clips are the first thing to break on door handle/latch linkages

2001 Toyota Sienna r.h. sliding door ''rear latch switch'' location

To start, the noun "''rear latch switch'' is incorrect. It's actually called "Slide Door Lock". It's located on page BO-20 of the Toyota Repair Manual for the 2001 Sienna. There are two door locks on one sliding door. One in the front and one in the rear. Obviously, you want the one in the rear. The location for the "Slide Door Lock" (which also contains an electric switch) is in the rear of the sliding door located mid way up door. You can see (sliding door opened from the back) it without dissembling the door. And, the lock is made up of plastic (dirty white in color).

Rear Window failure

3 routes

1. Could be a broken wire from the door to the a-pillar in the rubber boot. remove the rubber boot, and run the wires for a brake in them ( missing the return for the door latch switch ).

2. Problem with the door latch switch, usually the symptom is the door ajar indicator is always on, and dome lamp won't turn off.

3. A broken wire in the driver's side door sill. This is either towards the front, by the hood latch, or towards the back, where the loom routes up the c-pillar. It will be a single wire spliced to 2 other wires, and it looks like hockey tape is used to cover the splice. Might also have signs of water in the door sill channel.

REar door wasn't closed hard enough and so latch didn't catch properly and now the rear door won't open with the remote, can I open it somehow from the inside manually?, can't find a latch or anything. 95...

you would have to pull out the interior pannel and and unlock it with a screw driver the latch has a small hole that you could fit the screw driver in and it will release the door latch I have open various doors with a broken handle and it seems that you could do the same good luck.

Nissan rear door

sound like the link for the handle is broken.
you should have a pull handle near the floor at the driver seat.
if you can open the door with the pull handle. then the link to the latch is broken.
what you need to do is open the rear internal panel to get access to the latch.
