Question about Sony CDX-M630 CD Player
I just buy this Sony CDX-M630 cd player from the salage yard and i thought it was working. it was showing just the black side of the face. then when i got it home i was hitting differant buttons and the face flipped around to the gray side and the face don't light up , just the light where the cd goes in lights up. and i cant get the face to flip back in. is there some kind of code for it or what? thanks
First, make sure that the face is the correct one for the unit. I have had a couple of friends buy from salvage yards and the owners of the yards will take the faces off and put them all in a box - but forget which one goes with which. If this is the correct face for the unit, and all of the connections are good, the face should be displaying "CODE IN". This is where you would enter the unlock code - with the REMOTE. If you don't have the remote, then I'm not sure if you can unlock the unit. I've been to a few sites researching this question and have yet to find a way to enter the code without the remote. If you didn't spend very much on the unit, then it's not a big loss, but I would look into buying one new. It's almost impossible to get the default codes from the manufacturer for a used unit without the proper identification - i.e. receipt, product registration code, etc. Hope this answered your question. Please take time to rate how helpful this solutions was. Thanks and good luck.
