Try this, while the computer is running, unplug the camera from the USB Port , wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. I have fixed several that had the same problem by doing this.
Worth a try.
Hope this helps. Bud

My webcam is coming up very blue and fuzzy is there a way to fix that for the Toshiba satellite L655

Hello!
Webcams in general have very low resolution. But you can improve the appearance of your image with this little trick:
Before the webcam starts capturing, try pointing it to a light source, so when it starts it should receive enough light to provide a brighter image afterwards. You can take it off the light source when you see that the image improves and use it normally.
This happens because most webcams' drivers are programmed to display an image based on the initial light conditions. So if you start using it in a dark place, when you try to move to a brighter area, the image would look blue and fuzzy, as the webcam was adapted to those lightning conditions.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

My webcam shows everything upsidedown, I also cannot find the webcam icon to try and fix it.

Hi cutebutevil3,

Based on your situation. I suggest trying the following steps:

The image in your Webcam Uploader window might be inverted because of your camera setting.

To change the setting:

1. Click Messenger and select "My Webcam."

2. In the window that opens, click the "File" menu, select "Preferences," and choose "Webcam".

3. Click the "Camera Settings" button.

4. There is usually a checkbox for "Invert Image" or "Mirror Vertical." Un-check this box if one exists. If you can't find this checkbox, try searching the other tabs.

For yahoo messenger

1. Log on to yahoo messenger then go in preferrence.

2. Then webcam select webcam setting & then deselect the IMAGE FLIP.

3. Now save the setting.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for using FixYa

Best regards,

Multiple images on the test.

The multiple images were probably selected from your 'Video Effect' menu
Launch the logitech toolbar
Click the "Quick capture" ( 2 reel clips picture ) on the toolbar to start your webcam and test your drivers are working ok
If you have muliple images, keep the webcam running and click on the video effects ( 2 theatre masks ). Ensure no effects are selected and finally trim the image by selecting 'Settings' ( 2 gear wheels ) and fine tune your image. Use the Advanced tab to change the mirror images if necessary

Cam works, mic works, but picture is grainy and yellow ... possible to fix ?

Not practical in most cases.
The Microsoft webcams are quite delicate. I lost one just by rolling to the desk from the top of the monitor.
See if playing with the ends of the cable does affect image quality. Quite hard to fix if that is the case.
is the image quality a signal problem? Make sure the lens is not dusty.

I need to know how to fix a problem with my webcam the image is blurred

the lense on the camera if is moveable then try to rotate it a bit on both sides for a proper focus of the image and generally the webcams need more light than the normal cameras try using a good light source to from behind the camera
