N80 earpiece not working, loudspeaker works fine

Posted by on

1 Answer

I had the same problem - took it to my local Nokia repair shop in Peterborough, they had it for 3 weeks, and couldn't find a problem with it.

Got it back home - brought a new ribbon cable on Ebay and replaced that, and hey presto it works again...

My nokia n73 radio is not working what can i do for this problem.

Hello,
There is the possibility that the earpiece of your headset is bad. Try putting the rdaoi on loudspeaker, if it works, then you either listen to the radio on loudspeaker, or get another headset that is in perfect shape.
But if putting it on loudspeaker still does not work, then you have to entirely change your headset to another.

Hope that was helpful?
Thank you for using FixYa.

Everytime im calling, i cant hear anything in the earpiece, but when i use the headset or loudspeaker then the sounds are clear and working fine

Your speaker has went out. You will need to get a replacement. If you have insurance on the phone, your replacement will be a lot cheaper.

In my mobile there is no loudspeaker option in Nokia 6681

For volume and loudspeaker control increasing or decreasing the volume level when you have an active call or are listening to a sound, press left or right scroll, respectively. Sound applications use the loudspeaker by default.

To use the loudspeaker during a call, start a call, and press the button with the talking face icon and press again to return to earpiece.

If it does not work the speaker, or amp circuit is bad or there is a glitch in the firmware. Replacing the speaker is the only economically viable repair. If the amp circuit or firmware has malfunctioned a new phone is in order.
