I've got the same problem, that started 2 months ago. I notice that if I print on regular paper, it's pretty normal, but on high gloss, it's all tinted green. HELP!

  • Anonymous Oct 21, 2008

I get green tones mostly in place where red should be.

I haven't used my printer in a while i.e., 1 year - all the ink tanks are full and i've done deep clean / head's alignment - the full maintenance works... my pictures are purple ... should I replace all ink tanks?

    same error normal printing FINE
HI resolution or photo printing there seems to be no photo magenta or magenta printing
I run the cleaning setup and I have even done a thorough head clean with window cleaner (recommended ) and still no luck was intermittent but now getting worse
is it time for a new print head ..or another solution
    cheers
    John

Why is this EPSON STYLUS C88+ "Dura Brite Ultra" printer printing the wrong colors?

You have a corrupt or incorrect printer driver. Completely remove all references to the current driver from the computer. Un installing is not enough as the registry references remain. Then install the driver(s) again.

Black and white prints are not black

Sorry, steve, that you are experiencing this problem.

According to canon.com's website regarding the i9900 InkJet Photo Printer:

Why color ink may be used when printing in black and white Even when printing in black and white, color ink is used for the following reasons:
  1. Automatic cleaning of the print head.

To prevent the print head nozzles from clogging, the print head is automatically cleaned periodically. At that time, a small amount of each color ink is consumed.

Therefore, although printing in black and white is performed, color ink is also consumed.

  2. Color inks may be used to create black.

When printing in grayscale or on photo paper or when duplex printing, although printing appears in black and white, the color black may be created using the three (cyan, magenta, and yellow) color inks. Printers without a pigment black tank / cartridge will print black / grayscale will create a composite black using color ink even on plain paper.

Therefore, although printing in black and white is performed, color ink may be consumed.
  3. In order to keep the heavy black ink from smearing on the page or in the printer, color ink is used when duplex printing to help create black text.

    ---
I might suggest taking out the color ink cartridges leaving only black there, but some printers don't take kindly to this. So, you may have to further experiment with magenta, cyan, and yellow to make it at least seem b&w to your best eye's judgment.

Good luck on this.

Can't print BLUE.

I use a clear silicone tube to carefully prime the carts by sucking a dab of ink out of the tiny print holes before installation. I am careful to have a tight seal at the holes to prevent getting too much ink and possibly getting it in my mouth. Make sure each color appears.

Line Printing to hp office jet9110

I have this same problem, I have pink lines going through everything that I try to print in color. When I print in black and white, everything works fine. The blue and yellow ink cartridges aren't empty, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?

It should not, when you say pink you mean Magenta right?
sounds like it needs some cleaning, pull out everything you can pull out from the printer, and carefully clean any tone you see inside with a dry cloth, also clean the cartridges themselves.

print a few pages for any remaining toner to get phased/cleaned out on the print outs and see what happens

thanks for rating

DeskJet 950C Pink Printing problem

Assuming that you have the correct print drivers and the color is set correctly on your software. Then the issue is often caused by the ink drying and clogging the injectors. Open the lid and remove the ink cartridges, then unplug the printer. Then get a swab or Q tip and using bottled water (do not use tap water). Moisten the swab and wipe the areas on the printer where the ink cartridge contacts the printer. You should see ink on the swab. After you let it completely dry then place the cartridge back in and turn the printer back on. Try to print again. If it is still not printing with the correct colors then you could have a problem with the injector circuitry. At that point it is cheaper to buy a new printer. You can get refurbished ink jet Dell printers at Dell.com under outlet for usually $30-$40 and a one year warranty.

Printing incorrect colouring

plz check the color carts: are they inserted at the right place? If not, change them into the right place. Run the cleaning cycle 4 times to get the wrong ink out of the tube and nozzels.

If you have them at the right places print a test print by pressing ink button and selecting the test print.

Does it look good or do still have the diffrent colors?
