Found many people with several different modles of ipaq having the same problem. So far I have tried the following: soft reset, hard reset, updateing the rom to 1.10, reverting the rom to 1.00, reupdateing the rom to 1.10, turring off all options but serial port in the set up, and removing all item from the today screen. Nothing works. Am I looking at a hardware problem and if so what are my repair options. :<

Re: H2215 Blutooth Radio failed to turn on
The problem was in the HP ProtectTools security aplication.
After disable the aplication and do a hard reset the bluetooth works.
I had see that after the hard reset begins a process where some HP software are installed again. One of these software is the Broadcom driver of the Wifi/BT (You can see it for two seconds in the top bar).
I think that the ProtectTools blocks some file upgrade (DLL, Exe, config file, etc.) that causes the problem.
After solve the problem I have restored a full system backup done before disable the ProtectTools and do the hard reset, and all still works fine.
I hope this can help you.

only show if cells are shorted, or low charge state (SOC)
only load tests on battery show weak cells.
the top failure on something like this is the battery.
unless dropped.(and any fail possible)
HP has a real forum. why not ask there.

what OS, ? XP?a the 100% dead OS? that?
what HP PC? full model name, like DV6-1234us.(full)
what blutooth radio, is it 13 years old too?>
what size memory is there, (cp +system)
then look in task manager see memory usage and free mem.
then go to startup folder (msconfig) and get rid of all memory hogging software in there, most are useless
many are, like this.
Adobe update nag
Nvidia update nag
xxxxx update nags. (all useless and memory waste big time)
ccleaner nag ,etc ((does auto cleans so, may be useful)
I only allow my , protectors there, AV and Malwarebytes, etc.
does the RADIO work on other PCs' be like 1st step
This is more of an ActiveSync problem than an iPaq problem. Don't you just click "Resolve items" and ActiveSync either updates your handheld or the PC depending on which one you choose to get precedence?
