Re: disc is stuck in ps3 drive
Trying sticking something thin and firm in there gently.. try to feel for the bottom side of the disc. Press the eject button and press up a few times. This may take awhile. But Be sure to be very Very gentle while doing this.

Press the "Eject" button on the PlayStation 3 console and hold it for at least 10 seconds; if your PS3 has the "force eject" feature included it will eject the disc regardless of whether the console is frozen or not. Turn off the console and turn it back on before inserting new discs.
Unplug the power cord and any other cords from the PS3 console if the "force eject" feature does not work and you own a PS3 Slim. Turn the console upside down so that you have access to the bottom of the console.
Locate the small compartment door on the bottom of the console. Remove the door by pulling it up and off the console; a blue screw and a small hole should be visible inside the compartment.
Insert a Phillips-head screwdriver into the hole. Turn the screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction to manually eject the disc. Once the disc is removed, replace the compartment door and turn the PS3 console back to its correct position before reconnecting the power cable and any other cables you previously removed.
One thing you could try is to turn the console off that the back of the PS3. Turn it back on so it is in standby. Hold down the disc eject button and then press the power button on the front. This should force the disc to be ejected from the PS3. Hopefully this will solve your problem but if it does not please reply here and I will do my best to help you some more.
Hi, I think it was me who had helped you before. I will be glad to help again. Ok, first you have to tear apart your PS3 (just like when you cleaned it). Now looking at the rollers and "dogs" make sure that they are closed and not open all the way like when a disc is in it. Look at the flap on the top too make sure it opens and closes freely. Next, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! Plug your PS3 in and try to hit the eject button, if it is reset and ready for a disc it will beep twice when you hit the eject button without a disc in it. Place the top back on the he DVD drive and try to insert a disc. At this point it should take it. If not then try hitting the eject again. Once the PS3 resets and takes and ejects discs again, then you can put it back together.
is there a tiny whole in your ps3? in which you could insert a small pin? if not. then the disc tray may be stuck. you could try lifting the disc tray with a pliers or something that can hold the tray and slowly pull the disc tray as you press the eject tray. Pm me for any clarifications.
Remove the disc drive from the console. Remove the cover very carefull. Take the top part off (remove the 5 screws) and open the disc drive like a book.
Carefull remove the guide mechanism (the front part -1 screw).
The clicking noise is caused by the fact that the left side mechanism that raises and loweres the deck when the disk is inserted or ejected is stuck. Carefull push back the piece of plastic with teeth located on the left side of the deck (as you are looking at the disk drive the oposite side with the lens driving motor) until it clears complete the plastic round gear that drives that part.
mount back the guide mechanism, and the top part.
Attached the ribbon cables to the unit , power the console and keep the eject button pushed for about 10-15 seconds.
That will reset all the gears and stuff.
Worked for me when I experienced that issue.
Touch the eject button on the PLAYSTATION 3 system front for 10 seconds or longer to force the disc to eject. After removing and before reinserting a disc into the PLAYSTATION 3, turn off the system, and then turn on the system again to resume use.
If the disc cannot be inserted, you may need to send your system in for service, please click on the link below.
