Is this an ELECTRIC dryer? Or, a GAS dryer?

If this is an ELECTRIC dryer, the following link explains the most common causes of a "No Heat" problem:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r630242-dryer_runs_but_not_heat

If this is a GAS dryer, the common source of a "No Heat" problem is a failed igniter, or gas valve safety coils.

I hope this helps you. If you require addtional assistance, please post back with your make and model so I can make a more accurate diagnosis and/or identify any parts you may need.

Heats up hot go through cycle but won't dry clothes

If it heats up but clothes are not drying then it could be:
1- The vent gets clogged up.
2- The heater assembly consists of several filament, one of these is bad so it doesn't have full heat capacity. Therefore the heating element needs to be replaced.

Our dryer is not drying as it has in the past. Have checked the vent, drum rotation and heat, but still does not dry clothes properly. Any suggestions?

If the vent and the heat are fine then the only other thing that could be going bad is the timer motor. The timer motor tells the dryer how long to heat the clothes.

Whirlpool Estate Dryer TGDS840JQ1 dryer runs but does not heat up to dry the clothes.

when you say heat up is it at least getting warm...
you may have a igniter gone bad or your thermostat may have failed... your igniter is what has to ignite the gas to burn to make it hot. If its electric then your heating coil has failed and needs to be replaced
