Question about Dell 810 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I recently ran out of ink and my printer stopped working, it wouldn't even scan. today i inserted a new ink cartridge and the printer then asked me to print as i wanted to re align the printer and the to scan that printed page, but the problem is that the paper keeps getting dragged to the right and gets jammed. i have the paper inserted correctly and have the paper guide in the correct place. i also uninsulated and reinstalled the printer but the same problem exists. Thanks.
Your drive rollers are losing their grip.
This sometimes works: use pure alcohol, not rubbing achohol which contains water, wet the lower half of a sheet of quality, heavier paper (the cheap stuff may lose too many fibers), place the wet end in the manual feed, do a form-feed (normally rejects a sheet) and intermittently stop it from passing through several times while the printer is trying to transport it.
This may help to remove accumulated paper fibers and air-borne contaminents from the drive rollers.
Otherwise, you will have to do some disassembly to access them for more thorough cleaning.
