Lost Codes -Need Remedy

A friend gave me a used Toshiba combo set MV19M4 to replace a failing 15 year old Sanyo. When I first tried the set all was fine. So I unplugged it and let it sit for about a month (until the Sanyo finally died) before switching sets. I went to watch the SciFi Channel and got a notice on the screen that the set is V-Chip Protected and I am suppose to enter a code so I can watch the TV. My friend has forgotten the codes that he used. So now here I am a 53 year old shut-in on a fixed income ( unable to go out and just buy another set) who is bored to death, having no enjoyable TV I am getting frustrated enough with this situation to throw a freakin' hammer through what now seems to be a useless piece of equipment. Can you help me please? Is there any way to reset the set?

I scoured the internet on how to reset the V-CHIP on my Toshiba TV/VHS combo MV19M4 and could not find the solution. I tried others suggestions that had worked on similar models but nothing worked so I started experimenting and I figured it out! Follow these steps:

1: Unplug the TV for 1 minute then plug it back in.
2: In the menu select "TV Set Up".
3: Move the blinking block to beside "V-CHIP Set" BUT DO NOT SELECT IT.
4: Hold in the number 1 button on the remote.
5: Hold in the volume down button on the TV.

Your TV will turn off. Give it a few seconds to reset itself and then turn it back on and you will have to completely reprogram your settings. When you go to the V-CHIP settings it will ask for your new code.

Voila!

My 15DLV76 Toshiba TV/DVD combo won't work with any of the remote codes that are listed in the Bell Expressview manual. Why won't my Bell Expressview work with it, I can program my other TV's from the...

The problem with almost all of these combo units is only the original remote will work--in many cases this type unit even with the Toshiba name on it was made for them by another company.

If you have the original remote use it or if lost etc replace it (they are cheap)

Also note that almost every unit Toshiba (or any brand) uses has different infra-red codes.

Sorry but this is what they do.

Hi. Sorry for the on hold problems. Maximum cups flour for baking is 3-1/4 cups. Max on dough setting is 4-1/2 cups. Max on prepackaged mixes is 2-1/4 cups. Here is a link to the owners manual. Hank<br /><br />http://us.sanyo.com/dynamic/extranet/servicers/SBM-15_OM_English.pdf<br /><br />

Need codes for a Sanyo TV

I have a 15-2147. The codes from solution 1 didn't work for my remote, so I used the codes listed on Radio Shack's page for the 15-2142. The first code worked. Those codes are: 0154, 1907
