Re: How Do I Transfer My Videos To DVD?

A little more complete answer, since I don't know how much the original poster knows. You need a Firewire cable, and Firewire card in your computer. Insert Maya's answer here. If you only have a CD burner, you may also burn to VCD or SVCD format. Video CD or Super Video CD. The quality is less than that of a DVD and you can only fit about an hour in VCD or about 30 minutes in SVCD, but you -can- play them in most current DVD players. Often, CD burning software includes provision to burn VCDs and SVCDs.

Re: How Do I Transfer My Videos To DVD?

In order to transfer your videos to DVD, your computer must be equipped with a DVD Burner and you must use the software provided with the burner. Contact your computer manufacturer for further assistance. If your computer is equipped with a CD burner, you can transfer the video to a CD after you've converted the video to AVI or MPEG format. Playback of the CD will be limited to computers and possibly DVD players that support those formats.

The best way to do this is to download the video onto a computer. Using video software (there is a lot available on the internet), edit your video and then send it to the DVD burner.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE RECORED VIDEOS TO lAPTOP ? i DONOT HAVE ANY SOFTWARE (DOWNLOADED IN THE LAOTOP) THE SONY HANDYCAM DCR-DVD201E PL ADVISE

It is not required to use any driver to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.
Once you connect the Camcorder to the Computer, you will get the DVD disc in the Camcorder as an additional drive under My Computer.
You can find the Video_10 folder under the drive and copy it to the Computer to transfer the videos.
However, there are some occasion, computer may ask driver when connecting the Camcorder.. It may be due to genuine driver incompatibility..
In these type of situation, you can finalize the disc in the Camcorder and insert it in the CD/DVD drive on the Computer to transfer the videos.
You can use any software which you used to playback the commercially produced discs to playback the videos from the disc.

IAM USING SONY CD..FOR TAKING PICTURES..AND NW .WHEN I WANNA COPY THE PICS IN MY PC..THE PICS R NOT GTNG DISPAYE??..WHAT CAN I DO TO VIEW THE PICS IN PC???

Hi,
camcorders will usually record videos in Tape/cd/dvd and the pictures will be saved on to a memory card, if available. So if your camcorder is having memory card then your pictures may be saved on to it. So remove the memory card from your camcorder, put it in any laptop card reader and transfer the pictures in it.
I hope this solution is useful to you.
Thanks

How does one transfer videos and stills onto cd/dvd and/or a pc?

I find the best way is with your own computer. Using a system like iMovie you can hook up your camera, import the footage and from there burn it onto a CD/DVD. Hope that helps.

May i know what type of disc are you using?

Is it DVD+R? DVD-R? DVD+RW? DVD-RW?

You might wanna try to transfer your videos to your computer via USB streaming to check if you can still retrieve your videos.

Movie transfer

hey emron,

this usually happens if you dont have a driver for that cam in your laptop. as long as your laptop doesnt recognize you cam, try jumping from one usb port to another. when the new hardware wizard appears, this will help you to connect that to your system.

Transfer video files from camara to pc

Did you install the software that came on the CD? When you do that, connect the camera to the PC via USB, turn the camera on, select your choice. You can playback to PC, create a DVD, etc.
