The light engine of your TV is becoming weak. its is a common problem of 3LCD rear projection TV. You need a repairman to fix this kind of trouble.. The light engine replacement is expensive, It costs like a new TV set.
if you all ready reset the lamp timer and closed the access panel you may now be having a problem with your ballast board it might be too weak and that is the reason it does not turn on this ballast boards are not that expensive they range from $60-$80dls
a tv has two components, firstly a power supply produces high voltage to trigger a line transformer, in turn a transformer produces smaller voltages. firstly check if the ht is constantly been produced from a supply, if this is there than go to a line transformer, and check voltages at the output.
It's most likely a failure of the convergence amp and some other power supply problem in the convergence circuit by the sounds of it... Your unit takes an STK730-130 and some 750k 1/4w resistors for the yoke return. I would bet two or more of them are out of value, at least R19702 and R19703... There are also two diodes Cr19710 and Cr19709. P/N# 164590 which commonly open under a load and are recommended to replace anytime the convergence amp is replaced. Also check Q19700 (Bc457) which crosses nicely to an NTE123a... Not real expensive in a reputable shop - just a pain this time of the year.. I would recommend getting it repaired, it's worth it.. Bill
