Tips for battery Indentification: A charge mark is provided on the battery pack to help you remember whether it has been charged or not. Two colors are provided (red and grey) - you may choose which one indicates charged and discharged.

I have a cc 500 bat push mower the battery charger was leftout on rain the light dont come on for charger is it fried also does it have a plug that i can plug extenstion cord in or do I n

The charger lead should have been connected to a Residual Current Device, or Earth Leakage Breaker that should have flipped the power off. There should be a reset button on the plug.

Charge the mower for 14 hours before initial use. Charge mower indoors in a dry area out of the weather. DO NOT charge in rain or wet locations. IMPORTANT: Use only the battery charger provided with this mower. Plug the battery charger into the battery first, and then into any standard 110/120 volt household electrical outlet. See Fig. 3-9 for B battery charging location. A C NOTE: If an extension cord is required, use one that is at least wire size 16 AWG. Connect the extension cord to charger before plugging extension cord into electrical outlet. NOTE: You may charge the battery with the battery removed from the mower. IMPORTANT: Always recharge battery fully. It takes 14 hours to recharge a completely discharged battery. A flashing light on the battery charger indicates the battery is less than 80 percent charged; a solid green light indicates the battery is 80 to 100 percent charged. A full charge will be achieved in less than 14 hours if the batteries were only partially discharged. NOTE: It is recommended that the mower be charged once every two months during storage. IMPORTANT: Always disconnect battery charger (or extension cord, if used) from the electrical outlet first, then disconnect battery charger from battery. NOTE: It is recommended that the mower be charged immediately after it has been discharged. Storing batteries in a discharged state could reduce future performance. WARNING: The battery contains corrosive fluid and toxic material - HANDLE WITH CARE. Keep away from children. Do not puncture, disassemble, mutilate, or incinerate. Explosive gases could be vented during charging or discharging. Use in a well ventilated area, away from sources of ignition.

I'm one of many who have had problems with the battery exhausted signal one gets with Nikon cameras, even sometimes with freshly charged batteries.

Yes. It sure could have caused the problem. You didn't say which Nikon camera you have, so consider this a general answer. NMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries are rechargeable and alkaline batteries are not. When your camera is set for rechargeable, the recharging circuit is activated when your camera is plugged into the wall outlet. When the camera is set to alkaline, the charging circuit is disabled. Therefore, if you had the camera set to alkaline and you used rechargeable batteries, you batteries were never getting charged. Since your NMH batteries were in a discharged state, your camera gave you correct information.

When I charge it and it indicates that it is charged (green light flashing) as soon as I disconnected it from power source it indicates that it needs to be charged (1 red light on).

Most likely the battery in your device is worn out , This can happen a number of ways depending upon the type of battery . Standard lead acid batteries as used in automobiles fail this way when they are discharged completely too many times . Lithium and some other types of batteries can be sensitive to being left on the charger too long or NOt being discharged completely before being charged . In any case you need new batteries

My yh-925 mp3 player and battery does not seem to hold it's charge when after being charged from the mains adapter. Coluld this be a fault with the recharablebattery?

Yes, rechargeable batteries only have a certain life cycle which is dependant on how they are used and how they are charged. Rechargeable batteries should be occasionally fully discharged and then recharged to increase their life cycle.

A replacement battery can be purchased from eBay complete with Instructions on how to replace it.

I have a Fuji Finepix S7000 digital camera. I works fine, but, when the batteries get discharged, the camera looses all the "setup" info (date, time, etc...)... Is there an internal battery or something...

There is no internal battery. When the batteries become discharged or removed, the camera retains the date/time settings for about 24 hours. Most people have backup batteries fully charged so when one set is low in the camera, they can make the change quickly.

Chair has no power after a full charge, only allows user to go oneway before it has to be pushed Batteries are good anf fuse has been checked and changed can you help us

Many a times batteries shows you full charged but due to some reason few of the battery plates are not working, and it will only work till the charged plates get discharged.

Batteries plates turns weak or get damaged due to non use of batteries, or expiry.

I bought KODAK NiMH 2400 mAh and it isn't rechargeable when I recharge it it jus work for few minutes.

NiMH tends to have a "memory". What this means is that the batteries will get used to being only charged and discharged a certain amount. What could be happening is that the battery THINKS it is charged when it is not... or.. it THINKS it is discharged when it is not. You can try to recondition them:
  1. Charge them
  2. reset the charger and charge again
  3. put them in your device and drain them
  4. let them sit, drain them again
  5. recharge them
  6. drain them again
Do this a few times. If you don't notice an improvement, you may want to consider getting a new set of batteries - I would recommend lithium rechargeables.
