My Spanish is really bad ;-)

Pull the plug that connects your monitor to the back of your PC and put it back again.
Sometimes the contacts just stop talking to each other.

If that doesn't help, you could have a failed video section or card.

Worst case is: The monitor has failed internally, either the power supply or more likely, the high voltage section.

If you want to try troubleshooting this yourself, reply and I'll try to help you but you must have, at least, a multimeter.

Hi,

Hotmcompaq 7020 monitor will often display the following when turned on... the 'title page' showing Compaq. Then a rectangle shows up that says "searching for analog signal" then few...

That is the OSD brain, inside said monitor
The On screen display , window.
push the menu key on said monitor, see that MENU now?
sure. that tells you the monitor is basically OK.
that message means the unstated PC, is not sending any video or sync signal (or its cable is bad or unplugged or loose)
or the funny timer is tripping.(out)

monitors evolved like 5 times from year 2000.
so first i carbon date yours, to see what you actually have.
FP7020 is not a TFT7020, got it.
i wish i could read the service tag on it so i can be accurate but i cant.
no matter both are now RETIRED. at HP (hp is compaq , a fact)
https://support.hp.com/us-en/retired-products
Zero support now... no books, no nutt'n!

the first monitors, had a timer inside, and a clock that had a auto sleep mode, inside it, yah. they did, and is a pain .

lacking the book , one cant know that can one.
seems its 2002 carbon dated. wow 15 years young , ouch

this is the year the VESA rules went in to effect.
long ago, and changed 4 more times. dig>?
found a 15 years old product sheet on this old display
shows"internal sleep timer" yup, I just knew it was there,....
first make sure its off. (this must be OFF)
if its on and the clock inside is set wrong, it will trip off , at odd times.

let me explain back in the dark ages of monitors.
they had many PC that had no sleep mode
so HP(old compaq) put a clock(time of day) and sleep timer in dislplay., (for US gov, energy STAR bs)
so what you do is first set the OSD clock to the correct time.
then in the same menu system turn off the magic clock.
magic is that only this old junk has this display

or
test the monitor on another pc to see if its monitor issues or not.

lets not say , the monitor , is ok, and its funny INANE sleep timer is shut off.

what next, well the PC is next.
but wait you never told what PC, ?
so it can be any of 10,000 different models , VGA cards, chips and OS.

endless possibles for 36 years of PC evolution.
hopeless on my end to speculate.
NOr did you say what OS you are running.+

All PCs shipped new have shipped with sleep turned on in windows
or is this running OS2 or LINUX.
in WINDOZ
click control panel
there click power settings
there, click custom settings and give it a name, and then pick
NO sleep, no Hibernate at any time.
then turn off screen savers if on. most are off default.

when the PC wants to sleep it stops the Sync lines on the VGA card
or GPU chip.
the monitor sees that and goes to sleep. all do.
if the card is bad, its bad.
if OS is corrupted reload it.
if the PC runs ok on other monitors you cable is bad.
if the cable is ok the and PC is ok, then the monitor is bad
simply move the monitor to other PC
simple move pC to other monitor, and 1/2 the possibles are now know... in 15 min work, about.

1. Disconnect the computer from the power conecction. 2. Disconnect the power supply from the motherboard 3. Remove the Bios battery and wait one minute. 4. Turn on your PC.
If the problem continue reset your memory. Remove it and re insert. Also clean the memory contacts.

Steering wheel started clicking and got airbag warning light on - renault megane 5 plate

When the airbag light (SRS) is on or blinks it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called the clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the steering wheel while maintaining a mechanical connection to the airgag mounted on the steering wheel, to replace this part you must disarm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel, this requires a special steering wheel puller tool and that you disarm the airbag system before you start the work, to do this disconnect the battery negative cable for 1/2 hour prior.

Screen goes black

This indicates the LCD inverter in the display is dead. If you have any experience with computer repair, replacing an LCD Inverter can be easy enough; However, it may not be worth it for a 15" LCD; replacement inverters can cost anywhere between $15 and $40 - a decent used 15" LCD only costs about 40 bucks these days...

Compaq evo n160

This problem look LCD cable problem. You might need to check the LCD cable conecctions to the Motherboard and to the LCD if it is lose or broken.

You can connect an external monitor. If it displays, the video card is fine.
