Hi Ref: Digital Camera - Pentax K200 model It keeps auto focusing when in manual mode. Regards Chris

Putting the camera in manual mode still doesn't change the focus routine. If you want manual focus, there is a switch near the lens on the left allowing AF (auto focus) and MF(manual focus).

I had a D5000 which was stolen, I replaced it with a D90, the one thing I miss from the 5000 is the scene modes for sillouete and sunset. Is there a way to load these settings into the D90? Regards Chris

No, you cannot download these modes. However, all these modes did was set your camera's shutter, aperture, ISO, etc. for you . You can certainly do the setting yourself either by experimenting with different settings or going online and using Google to learn how to shoot these various scenes.

My camera takes picture but there all black? The

Last year my Canon PSA60 got the black screen in shooting mode. Menu display was normal and so the picture review mode.
Canon service center replaced the image sensor for free. When it happened again, I asked the service center for unit exchange (trade-in/upgrade program). Now I have my PowerShot S5IS. Good bye PSA60.

Canon has issued this in their notice page: http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/index.jsp?fuseaction=support&prod_type=notices-digitalcameras-lcd

It is not a problem - just wantg to know (per page 17 and 29 of my Software Starter guide) how to upload images from my Windows XP computer to the camera.

Jerry, thank you for that clarification!
I am afraid I don't know what software you got bundled with your camera, but I do got a tip for you!
I would recommend that you get a cheap USB 2.0 card reader, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the card reader. Then you can move your pictures to the camera without using canons software, but instead by using Explorer. A cheap USB 2.0 card reader shouldn't be more than around $20-$30.
When the memory card is read with a memory card reader, it will appear as a removable device in Explorer, that you can copy images (and even other files) to and from, just like copying files between any other folders. An added bonus is that the card reader is several times faster than the camera on transferring pictuers to and from the computer.
I hope this helps!
Regards,
/Chris

I need a driver

copy and paste that into your inernet browser URL box.
press download for either PC or Mac. It seems only to have support up to XP, though, so it might not work on Vista.

Then download ulead intervideo suite and avi-express as these came on the disk for the camera. you can get them both at download.com
other software will do, but make sure you get software that uses something called TWAIN32.
good luck

chris

Deleted photo recovery from cameras internal memory

Hi,

Please try this, turn on your camera, insert a blank memory stick, slide the side switch down to the lowest point, should say “No file in this folder” click on menu, click on Setup, use the arrows and go to Memory Stick, choose “Copy” choose “Album” the “OK” this will copy all you pictures from the Album in your camera to your memory stick.

Hope this helps
