FZ5 to PC download problems

I'm able to transfer my pics to the SD Viewer for DSC however 2 problems occur. The Access icon on the camera won't shut off & finally I turn the camera off. How is that access icon supposed to be stopped? How am I suppose to exit the screen? The pics on the pc are then eliminated. I can't find any way on the pc & software menus to "save" those pics. How do I save them to the computer?

And the next thing you should do is buy a USB card reader. Don't waste battery life plugging the camera into the computer - take the card out of the camera, put it in the reader, and proceed as above. Card readers are easy to find and very inexpensive.

My golden rule with any digital camera is to ignore the cr@p software that comes with it - it is NOT required to download the photos off the camera. Simply (assuming you're using Windows XP) goto "My Computer", select the removable drive that is the camera (e.g. drive E:), go down a few levels of folders and you will see the files - select and copy or cut.

Communication with computer

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Coolpix s220 won't transfer pics via usb cable

If you can get the pics using a card reader, why are you insisting on using the camera and USB cord? Pros always use a card reader.

EasyShare is skipping some of my pictures-won't download...HELP!

Could those 2 pics be in the internal memory and not on the SD or the other way around.

Are the 2 pics taken in a dif. fileformat or faulty?

Note if there is a pattern or if this is occuring w. more pics than just those 2 before you call KODAK

Need a free download for my sony cyber shot dsc-w55 to download pictures on my computer

You do not need any Driver or Software to transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer.

1. Set the USB Connection or Transfer mode setting in the Camera menu to Mass Storage or Normal .

2. Connect the Camera to the Computer using the supplied USB cable or any USB cable.

3. The Computer will recognize the Camera (make sure that the recording media containing the pictures (Memory Stick) is inserted in the Camera).

4. Click the Start button and then click the "My Computer" icon (for XP Operating System and for Vista or Windows 7 it will be "Computer" icon).

5. In the "My Computer" or "Computer" window, click the icon that represents the Camera.

6. Click the "DCIM" folder and drag it to the desktop screen of the Computer to transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer.

However, you may download the supplied Picture Motion Browser software for the Camera from this Link.

Transferring pics

I think there is a copy to card option in your camera.

It would enable you to transfer pictures from internal memory to your SD card.

You may check the website of your Camera Manufacturer and download the English manual online.
