Question about Dell Latitude D620 Notebook
I used the laptop for the first time today but I had trouble with the purple fucntion keys that are on the same keys as the normal letters e.g. J K L. To type the corresponding letter I had to depress the Fn key first and for upper case I had to depress Shift, Fn and the letter.
Qyestion? How do I get it to toggle the other way so that I can select Fn when necessary but can type normally the rest of the type?
i dunno for a dell laptop but generally for laptop keyboards the extra letters on j , k , l are for numpad. i . e the combination of 8,9,0 u , i , o j , k and l ..make a numpad tht is present on the right in a normal keyboard.
i guess what must have happened in ur num lock would have been ON making the num pad ON and hence u cant access the keys j, k , l directly ..
solution would be to switch OFF num lock (to switch of num pad lock press Fn + numlock present in the f1 - f12 series ) this sould solve the problem ..
