Bro, my suggestion is, you uninstall you Norton Anti-virus including the Symantec folder installation then install one that is free but can still perform as good as Norton. I am not saying NOrton Anti-Virus is a bad program but, it is systemic and slows down your computer a bit. Norton is a great product everybody kows that !!!! What i can share with you is that, try downloading AVG free or AVAST home edition for which, if you are connected to your net, they regularly send updates to your computer as long as you are registered and your key is up to date. If your Norton Anti-virus is notactivating, it only means one thing, it's not updated.
8 out of 10 computers have Norton Anti-Virus installed on their PC. Or you getting message to tell you to update your subscription? If so read on.
Have you notice that your PC is slowing down, or you getting blue screens, is your PC slow to boot, those your PC shutdown really slow. Are you getting pop-ups stating that your PC is infected. These are all symptoms of an out of date Norton Ant-Virus subscription. Even if you have have a current Norton Anti-Virus subscription you may still be infected.
OK, so here is how to fix your PC. First if you do not want to use Norton Anti-Virus anymore you need to remove it. You need to remove it from the control panel add/remove programs. You also need to get the Norton removal tool from Symantec, which makes Norton Anti-Virus. Watch my video from more details. Click here
So now your PC should be running better than before. Remember once Norton Anti-Virus is removed you need to scan it for viruses and then protect it. I recommend and personal use Avast, it is Free for home users and it simply works. Avast does not slow down your computer and it updates everyday with a visual and audio indicators. What more could you ask for. I use Malwarebyte's Anti-Mal wareon-line protection in conjunction with Avast for total protection. You can get that here. Try the free version first and it will get all those infections that Norton Anti-Virus failed to protect. Then upgrade to the Pro version if you need it. Here is the site http://www.malwarebytes.org/.
So now your PC is virus free and protected. What else can you do. I would get Ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com, this is also a free utility that I use. It removes all those temp files and other junk that is slowing down your PC. I do not recommend any registry programs. If you have any those on your PC. You need to remove them, they do not work.
The last thing you need to get is to de-frag your hard drive. I use this one. It is also Free so get it. Click here.
So now you are done and your PC should be a lot faster and better. However if you are still having issues you need to reload your whole operating system. Most people do not have the original CD so you will have to get a professional to do this. If you need help with that you can visit my site at www.adjustservices.com.
I remove viruses for a living and I wanted to share the ways that I remove and protect a PC from future infections.
I have learned that 95% of all computers have some form of anti-virus or anti-spyware preinstalled on the hard drive. 100% of the time it is trial subscription. Which means it will only last 30-60 days. If you do not renew your subscription your PC will eventually become infected.
Here is my plan of action. 1. Go to the control panel and chose software programs. This will show you what is installed. Look for Norton Anti-Virus or Live Update. Norton is the most common installed piece of software that I run into, so let's focus on Norton. If Norton Anti-Virus is not removed completely it will slow down your computer. It will cause your computer to become infected. It will cause blue screens. Believe me I know and I have cleaned hundreds of PCs'. 2. In order to completely remove Norton off your PC. You need click here. This will take you to the Norton uninstall utility page. Pick the version that you have and run it. Reboot your PC. Make sure Norton is removed by checking into the control panel and then go to program icon. This will bring up a list of programs that currently are installed on your PC. Make sure Norton or Live Update is not present. If it is highlight it and click on remove. 3. Now you need to download Malwarebytes, click here. This is a FREE tool that will remove almost any infections that are out there and may be out there. I only use the FREE version and it has created a lot of business for me. Run it and make sure you update it. Then do a scan. A quick scan works most of the time. If any infections are found, just remove and reboot your PC. You should be virus free. If this does not work boot to safe mode and run Malwarebytes again. Your PC should be clean. 4. Now you need good Anti-Virus. I recommend Avast. Again the Free Home version works for me. If you really need the protection go for the Pro version. Click here for a Free home version of Avast. Install, register and reboot. Your PC is clean and you are now protected.

The only time I've seen this happen is if you have a Norton AV in which the subscription has run out. If that is the case, I (personally) would remove that memory hog and install an A/V program that is lighter, faster and better: AVG
Most of the Norton antivirus comes with one year subscription. date u mentioned here seems like more then 1 year old. That's why it says expired
If you dont want to spend any more money on antivirus then uninstall this one and download AVG from this site. this is really good antivirus for free and good for ever.

Do not renew your subscription. I am guessing it is Norton(Symantec) or McAfee, unfortunately both of these once reputable anitivirus applications have become loaded with a lot of intrusive software that eats up system resources and slows your computer down.
Use a free antivirus application like AVG, Avast or NOD32. These free applications are just as good if not better to be honest, than either Norton or McAfee.
Here is a link to download the free version of AVG 8.0. http://www.download.com/1770-2001_4-0.html?searchtype=downloads&query=avg%208.0%20free&tag=srch
I am the securities moderator on another forum and AVG is by far the most popular antivirus package.
Chances are, the software that is already in your computer will be able to connect to its website and after entering an authorization code provided to you when you ordered it, the software should update itself. Otherwise, contact Norton's website directly.
yes you should disregard that. anyway, since your using a trialware which gives you 15days free use for that software, why not but the product. you'll have a choice of 1 or 2 years subscription for that. if your interested, visit symantec.com for more info.
