Question about Epson Expression 1680 Flatbed Scanner
Having trouble with getting this scanner working on a new laptop with either firewire or usb. Have downloaded and reinstalled drivers but Epson Scan just doesn't go anywhere and says check connection. IT shows up in System Profiler. Any ideas?

Do you have any existing drivers for new epson scanners( models), if you have then there are compatibility issues between new drivers and old drivers, are you using a leopard 10.5 operating system or tiger 10.4.**? try uninstalling every epson info from applications folder and from library/image capture and library/preferences. you an use the finder to search for epson scan and drg them all to trash. Try using image capture application as well if it will scan when you run it, then reinstall driver.
One more thing, when you click on epson scan, does it bounce continouosly from the dock? if it is then look for a subfolder and install everything in it.
