Question about Lexmark X6170 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I refilled a black ink cartridge Lexmark 82. I am not sure if I printed that day but now after the weekend it does not print at all. How do I avoid this problem? Print a lot as soon as I put the cartridge in?
The cartridge printheads are clogged from dried ink, get some paper towel and wet it with water or a huggies baby wipe (they are wet enough) then swab it over the print head until there's a consistent flow of black ink(if its still grey it's not enough) repeat the process if needed.

Your printer will probably only work with orignal Lexmark cartridges. Your printer now thinks you are out of ink, so it won't print any more.

Tips for a great answer:
The 100/100XL cartridges are not licensed to be refilled. You can, however, refill the 100A or 100XLA cartridges available on the Lexmark website at http://www.lexmark.com. You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.
