I am trying to download photos to my pc. All plugged in the the Device Connected box ins blank. Any ideas - its driving me nuts!

OK, when I use my Kodak Easy share cameras on a fresh computer that hasn't downloaded Kodak pictures before I do the following:

Load Easyshare software onto the machine, and install it.

Then, I connect the camera to the computer.

Then, I open the Easyshare software and it may ask a few questions.

Next, I watch the computer (Windows 7) as it loads the proper driver for my camera.

Finally, I click on transfer pictures and I am set with my pictures.

The pictures should show up in the Start Menu's picture under Kodak Pictures.

You should be done.

Let me know how it works out with the Easyshare software downloaded to the computer before trying to load pictures on to the computer.

No disk drive in computer

If you use a memory card, you don't need the disc. Just use a card reader to download the pics. If you absolutely want to load the disc, you could use a friend's computer to open the disc and copy it to a thumb drive and then use that to load it onto your computer.

I put in disc, and it won't load. New computer, Vaio. Had it installed, then after uninstalling Norton, and installing AVG no finepix, and cant load disc?

Always make sure that you have totally removed old antivirus software using the full uninstaller program NOT the windows add/remove

I suggest that you first download THIS to remove all instances of the old Norton software this is VERY important.

Then check to see in device manager if you can see the CD and DVD drives like this

ee0fd91.jpg

Then all is OK if you can't see the CD/DVD drives then the best thing to do is to download THIS excellent reg tweak from Doug Knox this will re-establish your registry with the correct settings for the drives, it is not a bad idea to run this anyway it won't hurt even if there is not a problem here.

I also suggest that you try to scan the Finepix disc with VSO inspector to see if there are any CRC errors or surface errors on the CD this may also cause the CD not to read, it also uses Patin-Couffin which is VSO's answer to CD control and one of the best if this can't find your error nothing will

Hope this helps

I am in need of a dimage software cd for a dimage 5digital camera, the current one is not opening, for instalation, I am unable to down load pictures Version 1.11windows. Compact disc, thank you for...

Alvin,

you do not need dimage software to download pictures. When you connect your camera to computer, your camera appears as a removable disk on My Computer. Acessing this disk you can copy all your pictures to a folder on your hard disk.

I have installed the Fujifilm finepix Z10fd software onto my computer. However, when I plug the camera into the computer the pictures do not load onto the computer. How do I resolve this?

is there a import menu in software to open first to import? try to uninstall software and hook camera up generic to usb and power on camera in playback and see if you can import into my pictures first-then import them into fuji program after reinstalling

I have no clue what im doing!

In XP SP2 you should have just plugged in the device to a USB port and XP probably would have picked it up and recognized it as a drive and all would be as simple as you probably expected. I as a rule don't use the third party software provided with USB devices because of issues as you are experiencing. It could be that the Imagemixer 3 software was for pre XP SP2 Operating Systems and XP is conflicting.
The fix could be as simple as using a third party uninstaller such as Your Uninstaller 2006, or 2008 to completely uninstall the Imagemixer S/W and letting XP detect and configure your device as posted above.
I hope this helps, and Good Luck.
