Download the Digital Wave Player full version from the Olympus UK site http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/2590_software.cfm The American site only has the software updates and not the full versions of this necessary driver. You may have just downloaded the update previously and this is why you can't execute, because you don't have the actual program installed. Good Luck.

i found this on here, and the deal is you have to install the old software and then run the update. the software should come with 2.1 and you can use the following link that is posted here: Digital wave player update 2.1.4
now to get you to VN 4100PC: i just followed the links and its the same update file for the 3100 and the 4100. you have to select your OS as well so giving you the link that i used might not be much help. but the solution is in the pattern of paths, not just one place.
