This is due to NIT in DVB-T transmission

Digital UK estimates that "only 1%" of Freeview receivers are susceptible to this change - technically, the introduction of a multi-part Network Information Table within the digital data.

The effects on some of those STBs and VCRs are plainly malfunctions, such as abnormal channel numbering e.g. Channels may be listed, but they're assigned to all the same number or assorted incorrect numbers. Alternatively, no pictures are seen, despite all channels having high ratings for signal strength.

If you hold the power button on the receiver till it turns off. It will reboot by its self. If there are any updates to get this will force them to download. However you might have a card that can't be updated. About 7 years ago they changed the smart cards, so older ones will not download new software. A new card from Dish Network is about $20.

Check your connections. Make sure everything is plugged in properly. If it is still making a sound, even a whisper, then the amp is probably fine. Do you have other speakers connected to the amp? If so, they should be sounding too. If not, then it's definitely an amp problem. Ebay sells tons of .... well, everything, so you should check that out...

have you tried right clicking on the volume icon in the bottom right and clicking "open volume controls"? make sure wave is all the way up. if you dont see it there you can click options at the top and in there somewhere you should be able to display it. see if that helps

Hi,

Touch tools > settings > language > voice.

Voice- changes the language for voice promts.
Languages noted with a persons name are (tts)
text to speak voices.

which have an extensive vocabulary and pronounce
the street names as you approach turns.

The pre-recoreded voices (those without a persons name)
have a limited vocabulary and (do not speak names of locations or streets)

Text language- change all on-screen text to the selected language,
changing the text language does not change the language of user entered data
or map data, such as street names.

Keyboard- select the keyboard for your language,
you can also change the keyboard language mode from any keyboard
by touching the mode button

Adjusting the volume levels
From the "menu" page touch "volume"
to adjust the volume.
To adjust the volume levels for the media player
and the navigation prompts,
please click.

Tools > settings > Volume > Restore
Restore will, restore to origional volume levels.

You should be good now

Regards
Richard.

Whisper mode

The problem might be the hearing volume. As far as I know, the only way to change it is in the middle of a call.

Here's what you should try...

1) Call someone.
2) Using the silver button on the left side of the phone, press the up arrow key a few times until the volume is all the way up. It will say "Hearing Volume".
3) During the call, go into the options menu and select the first option that will say "Whisper Mode On/Off". Select that and your problem should be fixed.
