Have you already tried to do disk cleanup? It deletes all your temporary internet files, which eats up a huge part incase you havent done this. It only deletes files in the recycle bin and other locations. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools then Disk Cleanup.

Also, if you have disk partition of other drives other than C:\ then it would be advisable to transfer your files like pictures, movies or music files to that drive.

Should you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you for using FIxYa.

LOST KEY

Helo deborah_grav

As long as you have the origina disk you can get another key from microsoft.

call Microsoft local number, and tell the them the problem. Make sure to have the office disk handy because I think they will ask you to read something from the disk for them.
I have called for new numbers for windows and office before and that is how they did it.

Good luck

I'd suggest you to migrate your my document folder to D: and keep of shortcut of that in c: migrating means transfering everything from my document to my document folder in D: and also move whatever music and picture files you are keeping in c to d. After doing this click on start button click search for files and folder and type *.tmp in file type and search C: select all the files found and press shift+del say yes (these are useless files which you shall delete. after doing this go to defragment your C: after defragmentation is complete open task manager and select explorer in processes right click on explorer select end process tree, wait for one minute. click on applications then click new task and type explorer and hit enter key on your key board. Now check your systems speed.
