Multimedia Audio Controller driver is missing

Hi.. I am running win 2003 ent in my macbook through vm-ware fusion.i have problem with the audio. there is no sound in the os. through Belarc advisor i found that the board is mentioned as "intel corp 440BX desktop reference platform". 
I bought my macbook last week, its white 2.4Gigahertz intel core 2 duo with 160 GB HDD.

PLS HELP ME................

This sounds like a problem with VM-ware, not woth your mac book, check your settings for the virtual system and make sure you have the sound enabled, as well as having the vm-tools install in the virtual machine.

Hi, you can download the driver here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_478/P4P800VM/#download

This is the driver for windows xp.
If you have another operating system click on os
and select it.

Click on audio and select global and download the driver.
The driver needs to be unziped before installation.

I don't have the driver for the multimedia audio controller.


Hi, you can download the driver here at asus:

This is the driver for windows xp if you are running another
operating system just select it in os.

Select audio and select global and download the driver.
The driver needs to be unziped before installation.
Right click and choose unzip here.

Here is a free unzip program:

Just click on the exe file and download.

Hi tried that... sound card is connected and vm-ware tools is also installed... its surely a problem with the windows 2003 server. because the error sound is played through the macbook speakers but not any...


see heres the thing when using VM-Ware, VM-Ware doesnt use drivers for your physical hardware, because it emulates the hardware that is seen in the hardware information of your system preferences.

So installing even drivers for the "emulated" hardware will not work, as VM-Ware uses its own drivers for the hardware, which are included with the VM-Ware Tools, if that doesnt seem to work, you may want to contact VM-Ware support, as they may have a better solutiuon.

File size 24.17MB. Save file 32b366.zip in the folder you created.

The file 32b366.zip must be uncompressed before you can install it. If you do not have winzip please download this program for free from the link below. Install winzip into your PC.
