# Aboveground filter systems and small inground pools (under 10,000 gals) should use a Low Head pump like a Maxim, or Dynamo or Power-Flo. # Pools from 10,000-20,000 gals can use a Medium Head pump like a SuperPump, a Pinnacle or Cygnet. # Pools over 20,000 gals could possibly use the High Head pumps like, Super II, Challenger, Ultra-Flo or the Sta-Rite pumps. # Pool/ Spa combos with at least 3 lines influent and 2 - 3 back to the pool, 2" plumbing may be able to handle the Ultra High Head pumps like NorthStar and the WhisperFlo

12 x 20 x 54 container capacity of water

If the units you are using are inches, then the capacity is 46.8 imperial gallons. I believe that is about 58 US gallons.

How many cc does 2hp =

There is no conversion between these. Cc is a measure of volume, and hp is a measure of power.

You can get specs for the power output in hp of an engine which has a capacity in cc's, but this varies very widely.

How much sand do I need for 3/4 hp dura glas pump?

I would suggest 50lbs. If you filled it to capacity, it greatly reduces your water flow.

IS A HIGHER CAPACITY IMPELLER AVAILABLE?

why yes, but when you play around with impellers the must match the HP of the motor, or YOU will burn the motor up ! .. hp + SF = total hp of the motor. the impeller has numbers on it like C105-137PEB THIS impeller is best suited to a 1.5 or a 1.65 hp motor.

Pump is only creating about 1/2 capacity. I have checked all seals etc., do the impellers on these pumps wear out? The pump is about 4 years old.

the impellers only usually get damaged with extreme cavitation. You most likely have a clogged impeller. It sometimes happens when the pump basked is cracked or damaged and it lets debris through to the impeller. You may have to remove the bolts and separate the seal plate from the wet end to access/inspect the impeller.
