I have been growing indoors off and on for over 30 years. As with most things, you get what you pay for. Plants can be grown under almost any type of light but some are better than others. I have frown plants under basic 20 watt florescent lights and achieved unimpressive results to say the least. HID lighting (Metal Halide / High Pressure Sodium) works excellent, but uses quite a bit more electricity and create a lot more heat. There's always going to be a trade off.....better lights will cost more too. Now people are leaning towards LED lighting which is more efficient and produce less heat. These are supposed to be better than HID lighting and the price tag reflects it. I have very little personal experience with LED lighting but from what I have seen they look pretty good. Recently I have heard of "PLASMA LIGHTS" which are supposed to be the best you can get but the cost is outrageous becuse it's such new technology. Unless you have $$$ to burn and are going to go "all out", I wouldn't suggest these right away.
I currently use a 1000 watt Metal Halide light to vegetate my garden, and a 1000 watt High Pressure Sodium light for flowering. I have had amazing results and the heat is manageable if you properly duct it away with blower fans. As for the increase in the electric bill, I just bite the bullet on that one and pay the extra money. It's worth it to me. Try to stay away from standard incandescent or florescent lights. They will work but not well in my experience.
One last note,'s my understanding the there is no better light for plants than sunlight. Some sort of atrium or skylight setup would be interesting to see results for.
Hope this helps someone....Good luck!

There are three major types of lighting systems available right now: incandescent, fluorescent, and high intensity discharge. Incandescent lights are horribly inefficient (especially the screw-in "grow bulb" type) and really not an acceptable option for plant growth. Although they are inexpensive to purchase, their cost of operation makes them the costliest source of light.

How many capacitors does the charging stand 981481-001 have? And are they available?

All chargers with sophisticated circuitry for regulation and timing have a number of capacitors inside. The more intelligent the charger the more sophisticated the circuity and generally the more capacitors are included.

The capacitors are of two types, electrolytic and none-electrolytic of which there are many types. The electrolytic capacitors are generally of high capacity (many microfarads) with a low voltage tolerance and are polarity conscious and the other types are generally of small fractions of a microfarad but tolerant of much higher voltages and are not polarity conscious.

The former type are mostly used to help regulation and smooth lower frequency ripples and the second type helps remove or suppress transients and component-created noise and suchlike that occur in any mains electric supply and apparatus where rapid switching takes place.

Capacitors rarely fail, unlike resistors and semiconductors though electrolytics sometimes do, especially when they grow old. Almost without exception the capacitors and other discrete components used in such circuitry are standardised items and can be sourced form a multitude of mail-order outlets, constructor stores and the local electronics repair shop.

What is the best grow lights to grow *********

That depends on what you're trying to grow and what phase the plant is in. Certain plants are adapted to grow in the shade or in warm, sunny environments. Depending on the plant, one type of light may work better than another. For example, if your plant needs a shadier environment, then a regular incandescent bulb may work best.

The other factor that goes into choosing the right grow light is what phase your plant is at. For example, a high-pressure sodium bulb may be best when your plant is in the flowering or fruiting stage.

Personally, I love using LED grow lights. Modern LED bulbs are more energy-efficient (they produce more light with less power), so they cost less in the long run. They also produce less heat, which means you don't have to worry about a ventilation system. Plus, they emit light wavelengths that correspond to the peak absorption peaks for most plants.

When choosing your bulb, you should look at the requirements of the plant and how those requirements change as the plant continues to grow. Keep in mind that the larger your plant gets, the more light it will need, so plan ahead.

Norelco shaver 6866XL won't charge, light glowsred

The battery is probably one with multiple cells and one (or more) of them has shorted preventing the total from reaching a voltage that appears as fully charged.
If the cells are Ni-Cads, this is a common problem with them and when a battery-operated item of mine fails, I replace those older types with NiMH cells if the battery compartment can accept them.
I have 'restored' countless NiCads over the years by 'zapping' them with a fairly high current for a second or two; voltage isn't important as long as it is in excess of 2-3 volts but the source should have a few amps capacity.
This type of cell grows 'whiskers' that will cause them to short completely or develop a path that causes them to self-discharge faster than normal.
