* As with any garden equipment, especially gas-powered, you should make sure you have adequate protective gear. * Safety goggles, work gloves and earplugs are all necessities. * Wear sturdy, steel-toed boots if you have them; if not, wear your most durable close-toed footwear. * If you plan to be out in the sun for a long time, don't forget a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen too!

I also recommend wearing long pants, preferably jeans. If something were to get kicked up you wouldn't get injured or at least not as badly. as a general rule. always wear glasses/goggles, hearing protection, gloves, and pants. and soles with deep biting soles, like workboots or hiking boots.

Oil smoke on my mantis tiller

Too much oil in the fuel mix. Look for a 2 cycle oil called Opti-2. Comes in 1 or 2 1/2 gallon mix pouches w/fuel stabilizer. One mix for all 2 cycle. It's the best and no measuring, foolproof.

Mtd 17.5 will not start

Riding mower have three safety switches. One under the seat, one under the clutch and one on the blade lever. Make sure all are making contact as the button tip can get worn after many uses. These can be replaced. One trick you can try before that..
Sit on the mower and pull the blade engagement lever back further than necessary and hold it in that position while trying to start it. This may work as it puts more pressure on the safety switch button and makes contact possible.

Soldering gun troubleshoot

# Never touch the tip of the soldering gun. They are very hot and will give you a nasty burn. # Take great care to avoid touching the mains flex with the tip of the gun. The gun should have a heatproof flex for extra protection. An ordinary plastic flex will melt immediately if touched by a hot gun and there is a serious risk of burns and electric shock. # Always return the soldering gun to its stand when not in use. Never put it down on your workbench, even for a moment! # Work in a well-ventilated area. The smoke formed as you melt solder is mostly from the flux and quite irritating. Avoid breathing it by keeping you head to the side of, not above, your work.

Air hammer tips

Always keep in mind that air hammers are extremely powerful tools. Thus, particular safety precautions should be taken when using them. Be certain to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses and earplugs. Also, when changing the air hammer's bits, always be sure to unplug the air hammer first. Finally when using an air hammer, always be aware of the position of the tool and work piece. The tremendous force that the air hammer exerts can cause the tool or work piece to jump powerfully. This movement could easily cause injury to the operator.
