Blade size will determine the hedge trimmer's weight. Make sure it feels comfortable as you will be holding it for long periods of time at awkward angles.

How do the fuel lines in a weedeater trimmer pe550 hook up inside the gas tank

I have an older model that has a weighted filter in the tank. The filter flops around and can 'fall' into the fuel no matter which way you tilt the trimmer/tank. You should have one in your tank. Feed in the new line and make the end come out the gas cap. Push the filter/weight into the end of the fuel line. Pull the extra fuel line out of the tank to match the original position. You should have cut the new line to approximately the proper or same length as the old fuel line with an angle cut so you could push it into the tank.

I have a weed eater max te475 trimmer and would like to know what size of trimmer line should i be using.thnx...........Michael

For a lighter weight machine with the smaller 25 or 26cc engine like yours, .085" line is sufficient. .065" line is for electric trimmers and .095" line is for trimmers with the larger 30 and 32cc engines.

Weedeater starts ok but as soon as you tilt it downwards it shuts off.

The fuel line in a trimmer usually has a weighted fuel filter so that no matter which way you tilt it, the weight pulls the filter down toward the pool of fuel in the tank. If this weighted fuel filter gets caught or stuck in one corner of the tank, then it won't fall properly in the tank to the fuel level so it then runs out of fuel. Look into the fuel tank, with no fuel in the tank, and make sure it moves freely when you roll the trimmer around.

What size line do I need for a Ryobi ELT1000FA Trimmer

A good Rule-of-Thumb for homeowner trimmers is:

Curved shaft trimmers need to run .065-.080 diameter line while straight shaft trimmers can handle .095-.115 diameter.

Keep in mind the kind of use the machine gets and match line diameter accordingly. Larger line may fit into the spool, but the power and RPM that's available to you will suffer because of the extra weight and wind resistance.
Hope this helps!

there should be a label stating the oil type somewhere on the engine or cap or owners manual, if not most manufacturers recomend a 30 weight oil. be sure to drain out the old stuff first.
