Professional-grade varieties are automatic, and fire a nail directly upon pulling the trigger. A semi-automatic nail gun is more appropriate for beginners, since it requires a two step process: pull the trigger and then tap the barrel against the wood. This safety feature protects the user from accidentally firing a nail gun and injuring himself or others.

Grex Headless Pinner P635: Nail keep jamming. Any solutions??

By all reports, this is an excellent pinner.

This is an excellent product. When used it at 90 psi with the 1 3/8" pins there should be no issues with putting pins through shoe molding, corner molding, pinning crown miters, etc.

NOTE: The specially designed nail channel is designed to prevent jamming

However, there is a minor that I've experienced: it is difficult to load a new clip of pins when there are a few still left on the old clip. The spring mechanism pushes the two clips together pretty hard when you close the magazine, and the ends of the clips can get doubled up, jamming the magazine.

I don't know of any fix for this problem, so I recommend that you only refill it when it is completely empty.

If you've never used a pinner before, you should keep in mind that it is NOT going to replace your finish nailer.

I trust that this was helpful.

How does the Draper stud detector work

It produces a tuned magnetic field of it's own, and when a live wire or a nail enter that field it changes the loading in the detector's circuitry throwing it off tune, and depending how it is thrown off determines ifit is a nail, a wire or a live wire.

It is the same basic principle of a metal detector you would use onthe beach to find metal things.

How can I adjust the nail depth on FN250A

You need to put an inline valve to lower air pressure to tool. This will make you able to adjust the pressure to the depth you want it to go.

I'M PAINTING A NEW HOUSE. I PRIMED AND GOT THE FIRST TOP COAT ON WHEN I NOTICED THE JOINTS WERE SPLITTING IN RANDOM PLACES ALL OVER THE HOUSE IN THE WALLS AND CEILINGS AND WHERE THE WALL AND CEILING MEET....

i have been a carpenter for 20 plus yrs and only 3 times was it actually from a house settling. I never put joint compound over caulk. this is a recipe for disaster. If you have tall ceilings and walls the cracks could be from wind sheer. If not it can only be the installation of the drywall and the original taping that was done. if the sheet rock was hung with nails and not screws, that explains it all. sheet rock will pull through the nails from its own weight. that is why you never hear the term screw pops. It will be alot of work to go back and screw the walls and ceilings off but you will be able to fill the nail holes and they will stay filled once the rock quits moving

2 things to check
1. when was the last time you oiled the gun, without proper lubricant, the driver will not return properly and that will impede fastener feed

2. have you cleaned the nose of the gun? try spraying it with WD40 or some other spay lube after using a spray cleaner, such as B12 carb cleaner or brake cleaner

Install tape

Pull it all the way out ... have a nail ready to put into the hole just past the end on the tape, in the spring. Remove the tape. Install the new one (insert the tang into the hole and twist). Remove the nail and carefully allow the spring to pull the new tape in.

I hope this works for you

I have a shell stuck in the gun and can't get it out!

if it is exploded run a rod through the gun when you break it apart. if it is unexploded be careful - it's probably a rim fire cartridge. use plenty of penetrating oil.

Powder actuated tool wont fire. I think the firing pin is stuck

is this the one you hit with a hammer? if so check to see if the firing pin is hitting the shell rim at all, if it is sometimes you just have to hit it harder, and make sure your holding the shell in position with down pressure on the handle. if it is the gun model then make sure that the safety lever is is reaching the trip mechanism when you are holding it down making ready to fire.
