Home Use: Compressed-air power tools can dramatically decrease the amount of time spent on a project. Many homeowners will use smaller, portable units (either hand-carried or wheeled) that move easily from the garage to the house, yard or roof. Common air toolsAir Tools such as brad nailersAir Nailers, reversible drillsAir Drills, and impact wrenchesAir Impact Wrenches require about 0–5 CFM (Cubic feet per minute — units in which air flow is measured). It's important to know if the compressor you purchase will drive the air tool you'll need for your project. For example, smaller air nailersAir Nailers run on 2 to 5 CFM at 70 to 90 PSI, while larger shearsShears, sandersSanders and polishersPolishers require up to 10 or more CFM and 100 to 120 PSI. Business Use: Air compressors used for business/professional applications are often classified “industrial grade.” They're packed with features that let you take on more demanding jobs with more horsepower, more CFM, more PSI and more (longer) run times. Though some industrial-grade compressors are portable, many are stationary units with large-capacity, ASME certified air tanks (up to 120 gallons), greater HP, more CFM air volume and faster recovery time to run a wide variety of air tools for as long as you need them to do the job.

The ac compressor is seized .I need to replace belt but I need to bypass the ac pulley.Do i need to buy a bypass pulley?

If the pulley on the compressor will not turn freely, then yes if a bypass pulley exists you would need to use it in place of the compressor.
If the compressor pulley turns but the compressor is locked up, just unplug the compressor clutch.

1999 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8L VIN-K I was told a couple of days ago that my A/C Compressor was bad, If i unplug the Compressor from the System will this work so i can still use the pulley 4 the Serp

If the hub bearing is noisy it will still make noise with the compressor off. That CAN mess up your belt. If it is quiet with the compressor off then you probably have internal compressor damage. Leaving it off WILL NOT mess anything else up on the belt system. If when you do use the compressor and it locks up you WILL lose your serpentine belt. One last thing. If your short on money you can measure the belt system less the compressor and pick up a shorter belt and bypass the compressor. Good luck.

Dewalt recommends synthetic oil in their compressors. The dewlat part # 5130427-00 quart, and 5130702-00 for a 4oz size. Available at www.dewalt.com or their service center. I have been using the Lowes brand of synthetic compressor oil. Kobalt oil sells for about $7 and works great. If you do not use your compressor all day like I do, you can use the standard grade of Kobalt compressor oil that sells for around $3. Synthetic oil is for extreme conditions. Good Luck!
