Squeeze 4-5 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air fitting daily. If you use the tool all day, repeat the process half-way through the day. If you don't use the tool very often, just oil it when the tool is used.

My garrison model 043-6138-6 is getting rain water into the bottom of the unit what can I do to fix it please.

Check the bottom shell of the unit, if you find a clear area where the water pools, get a small drill and drill a couple of holes taking special precaution to avoid any parts on the inside.

Porter cable finish nailer miss fires all the time.

If you are using a pneumatic tool then I suggest you incorporate a oiler in the air line instead of oiling it all the time. Air tool oil is special oil and anything heavier than sewing machine oil will cause problems.

Can I take my duracraft drill press chuck apart to clean it?

usually that requires special fixtures to remove the collar and a press, I would recommend cleaning with WD-40 and wiping clean all exposed parts and if you have compressed air try using that also, WEAR safety glasses.

Maintenance on a bosch pbh 2200 re sds, do i need to put oil or grease anywere in the drill?

The Bosch hammers all use a special grease for the hammering mechanisms. You should be able to buy a small tube similar to the size of a toothpaste tube, from a Bosch dealer or online. The part number is 1615430014. Here is what it looks like.

The drill has a small lubrication hole labelled "oil". I inherited the drill and it is a great unit but dont have the spec docs. I would like to know the oil specification please.

30 weight engine oil should work well here, but you need a pump-type oil-can to force the oil into the hole. The small steel ball needs to be depressed while doing this. Don't insert very much or it will cause problems internally. If you don't have the oil can, auto parts stores can supply one fairly cheap. Good luck!

I have an old corded 3/8" corded Craftsman reversible variable speed electric drill (1051). It squeals when I use it. Wondering if it needs to be oiled.

Yes, the bushings are dry, and it is screaming for oil. But, it doesn't like oil, it likes grease better, but it is hard to get in there to grease it. (sometimes), you might get it apart and both ends exposed. Then get the bushing off the end, you won't be able to get it off the front, either squish some grease in there or get the oil can out and try it. Good luck.

I am maint. super for Crafco in Chandler AZ, and need a break down of parts for part numbers. Also any kind of repair/rebuild guide would be helpful. Mostly having problems reassembling after chuck...

I see little hope in getting what you are looking for...That brand of tools is from Tiawan and based on the cost of a new drill being ~$80 I doubt you are going to find any parts available. You can try asking the manufacturer if they offer any parts and if so where you can get them in the states by using their contact page. I assume though that based on an hourly wage for a maintenance man and the parts cost even if you could get them would far exceed the cost of an $80 drill.

Hi there, I have a Campbell Hausfeld air gun (drill?)... I opened it to clean it and have put it together but there is now an air leak from the trigger which was not there (the tool was working fine). Can...

ok sounds like you've pinched an o-ring in the trigger assembly. dissassemble the gun again and look for a torn or pinched o-ring. when reassembling the tool make sure you put some grease on the seals and other moving components to avoid these kinds of problems. if the o-ring is torn you can take the old one to most any local parts place and they will have a big box of o-rings and usually just let you match the old one with a new one and sell you what u need.

oh and it doesn't really matter what kinda of grease u use just dont use penetrating oil ( like wd-40 or 3-in-1 oil ) or it will soak into the seals and reduce the life of your seals, motor oil or any standard bearing grease should do the trick
