High pressure fluid is present in operational hydraulic systems. Fluids under high pressure are dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Do not make modifications, repairs or adjustments to any hydraulic system unless you are competent or working under competent supervision. If in doubt consult a qualified technician or engineer.

When I attempt to pump the jack up it will not stay raised up

Either the pressure release valve is loose or the seals are worn out. Make sure the screw valve is tight. If that doesn't fix the problem, buy another jack. The seals really aren't user replaceable.

How to replace battery on black & decker SZ360 cordless scissor

I found a 1200mah 3.6v NiCd pack at for $10.99 each, the lowest shipping cost was FedEx Ground at $13.04 so I bought three of them, I'm sure I know some others that will need the other two. The quote 5 days to ship, in case they need to assemble them from individual cells.

The only issue is that I probably will have to modify the tabs to match the wiring in the scissors body, I'm sure Mr Dremel will come through for me on this point.

Black and Decker is most certainly *not* the best place to look, they have an exploded-view diagram of the scissors but have discontinued all parts for this model.

How do i change the assesories that come with dremil how do i use the hand held dremil??

If you have the standard dremel tool ther is a small bar sticking out at the collet end of tool. This is a locking rod to hold motor shaft in place so you can loosen coollet nut. Put pressure on thebar and slowly rotate the shaft until the bar drops in place. There should be a small open end wrench that comes with your tool to loosen nut. If not use asmall wrench to loosen nut.Turn it counter clock wise to loosen. It is not needed to take the nut all the way off. You may have to move tool slighyly to get it to come out.
The tool that you use is determined by what job you are trying to do.Most come with abrasive cut off wheels small grinders, sanders, and polishers. To secure new tool in collet just insert tool shaft in collet and tighten down. When it gets snug then Depress locking bar to finish tightening. Hope this helps you some. Thank you.

Should batteries discharge in or out of the tool?

You want to use a fully charged battery when using any of your cordless tools. If you use your tools regularly, batteries wont discharge too much when attached to your tool. If you only use your tools occasionally, and you leave the battery in, it will discharge a bit faster. When storing your cordless tools, Separate the battery from the tool.

How do I properly use a hand swaging tool for 3.2mm dia wire rope

they do make swagginhg tools that are fixed onto the yoke of a flaring kit. to hand swag, you should use the block of the flaring kit to hold your tubing. if you are swagging half inch tubing, hold the tubing up the diameter of the tube plus one eighth of an inch. tighten down the nut opposite the tube first then the closest one. this will keep the tubing from slipping.
Then hit it squarely with a hammer and it will bottom out at the flaring block. I would ease up on that last stroke to keep from cracking the tubing

How do I apply an ''orange peel'' texture to my cieling using a product called Spantex'' that you can wash?

Orange peel is usually applied to a vertical surface using a gun and hopper arrangemennt connected to an air compresor. If "Spantex" is made into a mixture for spraying, such a device will be required. They are available at all large hardware stores for between $35 - $50. Usually, the air pressure can be throttled down at the gun, and the kit comes with three orifices, allowing for different sized textures to be applied. You will need to experiment with the orifices and pressure on scrap, and decide on your pattern and depth of coat. One other factor to consider when spraying is the thickness of the mixture. Generally speaking, it is better to mix according to the directions and to vary your technique to your application rather than varying the consistency of your mixture. It eliminates one of the larger variables, and will allow for repeatable results.

Water Hammer

If you have a water meter put a check valve right after it, or as close as you can. Most water meters cannot subtract water that returns back thru them when pressure tanks are in use. I think pressure tanks are a good idea, I would put one high in the house to supply good pressure to the upper floors.

Nail Gun how to

One of the factors used to designate compressor power is motor horsepower. However, this isn't the best indicator. You really need to know the amount of air the compressor can deliver at a specific pressure. The rate at which a compressor can deliver a volume of air is noted in cubic feet per minute (cfm). Because atmospheric pressure plays a role in how fast air moves into the cylinder, cfm will vary with atmospheric pressure. It also varies with the temperature and humidity of the air. To set an even playing field, makers calculate standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) as cfm at sea level with 68 degrees F air at 36% relative humidity. Scfm ratings are given at a specific pressure–3.0 scfm at 90 psi, for example. If you reduce pressure, scfm goes up, and vice versa. You also may run across a rating called displacement cfm. This figure is the product of cylinder displacement and motor rpm. In comparison with scfm, it provides an index of compressor pump efficiency. The cfm and psi ratings are important because they indicate the tools that a particular compressor can drive. When choosing a compressor, make sure it can supply the amount of air and the pressure that your tools need.
