Question about Wheeler Rex 77024 2-3/4" Single Tooth Hole Cutter
How do you get dried-out glue (from a hot glue gun) out of carpet?
Put a towel over the glue and iron over the towl. the glue will melt and the towel will soak it up. That works for other things like crayons also.

Try using denatured alcohol from your local hdwe store along with a rag, comb, and even a toothpick . A test area would be my first idea; color fastness and while there is not much odor it may affect some people with allergies and respiratory problems. It will take some time but be careful not to saturate the carpet itself just the immediate area; the alcohol may breakdown adhesives bonding the carpet fibers to the backing or seaming tape on the underside.

A hot glue gun is a very useful tool for joining modelling
materials and even more substantial materials can be fixed together with it.
'Sticks' of solid glue are pushed into the back of the gun, the trigger is
pressed pushing the glue stick forward and molten glue comes out of the nozzle.
The glue is manufactured from thermoplastics.
