Question about Hitachi 11A Motor, Reciprocating Saw, Tackles Any Application
Should I use a cordless or cord saw?
Although corded saws generally have more power, with the advancement in battery technology lately, cordless reciprocating saws have enough power to cut most materials. Also with cordless you dont have to worry about the cord getting in the way or finding a long enough extension for the job you are working on.

Cordless tools lose power as the battery drains, while corded tools deliver reliable, consistent performance with unlimited run time. Corded reciprocating saws range from less than 5 amps to 15 amps or more, with more than 10 amps providing optimal power for heavy-duty commercial use.
