I have a d25701 DeWalt hammer. It shuts off when you push on handle. Took it apart looking for bad wire. Found none. Put it back together and it don't run at all now. Any ideas other than take it in?

There are a few common issues that cause this:
1) Check your brushes(#44) - this tool has auto-stop brushes so when they reach a certain level the controller knows they are low, a little further and the auto stop springs push out preventing the brushes from contacting the armature.
2) It sounds crazy, but the fan (#46) can also be the problem. Inside the fan is a magnet that gets picked up by a sensor letting it know what rpm the motor is spinning. If the magnet is missing or broken the tool won't run or won't run to full speed. DeWALT D25701 Type 1 Hammer Parts

My recon 2500 chop saw stopped working .power to switch and up to capasiter but nothing after

The capacitor is only for Radio interference suppression on the switch this kind of machines has no induction motor but with carbon brushes ,
Electronic modul , carbon brush auto protect Switch start-up delay where could be a 8 ohm resistor is the capacitor that you mean it is is a white colored with 2 black caps thats a start up resistor to get the peak of voltage out to start up.
But a broken collector on the armature , sound resaistance check the armature place the multimeter on the both carbon brushes so that you have sound (thats must be given) and turn slow the sawblade by hand if its stops then there is a bad (or) collector(s) on the armature. Always check the powercable under some tensile force because if there is electronic modul and it was started it will fast stopped if there is a
cable break

Skil saw stops I bump it it starts then it stops I bump it it starts

The two groves could be caused by the auto stop pin in the brushes but I would also check the brushes are not getting stuck in the brush holders.

It might be that the brushes have got stuck in the brush holders. Take them out and make sure they run free.

Drill does not work when i press the trigger

Did you take a look at the carbon brushes?. Metabo has what they call Auto stop Carbon brushes. so if they are worn down they will pop away from the motor and the drill will simply not run. this happens when the brushes are basically worn out.

I have a bosch brute hammer drill, that just stopped working after 2 hours of breaking up concrete and rock. It is brand new, and worked fine to start with, but then gradually took longer and longer to...

Take it back as it is still under warranty. If there was anything you could do other than letting it cool down it would be in the instructions.( which you have since it is brand new.)

2002 neon, power goes out and everything just stops. Gages drop like all power falls. when car stops it often starts up after battery cabels moved, Tightened and cleaned terminals and posts. Problem...

The positive battery cable in particular tends to corrode the terminal and the cable wire that comes into the terminal. If the terminal seems be barely attached, buy a new cable. Drop by your favorite auto parts store and pick up a battery post-cleaning wire brush plus a tube of anti-corrosion grease to apply to the connectors and terminals after brushing them clean (they should have a bright lead look after the brushing). If the gas mileage doesn't improve after this, you may need to return to the auto parts house and get a free scan of the computer. The codes (if any) should lead you to repairs. Recharge the battery overnight at 2-4 amp rate to make sure that it is at peak power. Hope this helps!

Brush bar on Dyson DC07 clic

Not sure if I understand what you mean, but I'll try... I guess the "button" that you refer to is the clutch knob that's located on the side of the base. It has three positions: manual off, auto off and auto on. In manual off, the brush bar is always off. In the auto position, the brush bar should be off when the machine's handle is upright and automatically turn on when the handle is lowered.
If you've got the knob in the auto position but the brush bar does not rotate when you lower the handle, then there's a problem with the clutch unit and you will almost certainly need professional help. It is possible for the keen amateur to service or replace the clutch unit, but it's quite a job.
If you opt for a professional service, be sure to get a firm quote as it may cost more than the machine is worth to you. The part's not cheap, and there's a fair amount of labour involved.
I hope this helps. If not, please reply with more details and I'll try again.
