BE-300-How do I open it to remove the touch screen?
Hi, I had broken the LCD underneath the touch screen and have the opportunity to get a BE-300 with just a broken touchscreen. So I basically want to swap my screen into the other one. My problem :
How do I open this PDA. I took out five screws, took out the dummy door and the battery compartment cover, but I was not able to separate the top from the bottom so I could take out the screen. Does anyone know how to do this?

Re: BE-300-How do I open it to remove the touch screen?
As I remember it has some plastic bulges that fit into some indentations. Some gentle prying toward the bottom should show you some success.
To get the things that hold it together apart you need to press in on one part and lift up on the other, but don't remember which.
If you don't get it email me and I will go dig my old one out of the junk box and see which is which.
It, by the way has a good screen/touchscreen I think, the light circuit got busted on it and I can't get parts.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hi Tracy..., last month my ipad got black screen also, all i have to do is.. I open it
slowly and carefully pull-up the touch screen, then i remove the LCD and at the back of LCD you can see the black plastic cover, carefully remove it,then when finish removing it, at left side there is flix ...that is the connection of backlights...
if you see that is broken that causes you the ipad turn black screen, all you need is to get a soldering iron and a lead then fix that 9 connections of flix one by one ..and after that, all parts that you remove return it carefully and restart your ipad..and you have your ipad now back to normal
LG has released a line of cellular phones that come equipped with a sleek touch-screen LCD display. Since these screens are high-tech and sensitive, they can be prone to damage or scratches. If the touch screen on your LG is damaged, and you don't have the money to take the device to a service technician, you can open up the phone and replace the touch screen yourself.
1. Turn off your LG and slide the back battery door down and off of the device. Lift the battery out of its compartment and use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws located on each corner of the compartment. 2. Use your fingers to remove the back panel from the phone. The green motherboard will be revealed underneath. 3. Unplug the four ribbon cables that connect at the middle of the motherboard. Unplug the antenna cable in the top-right corner of the board. Lift the motherboard out of the phone housing and set it aside. 4. Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the top of the phone housing, then separate the back frame from the front housing of the phone. 5. Lift the damaged LCD screen out of the phone housing. Replace it with a brand-new LCD screen (available from your LG retailer or online) and reassemble your phone in the reverse order you took it apart.
Hi, most screen problems usually happen after a fall or a knock against a solid object. There are two things that might have happened here. One might be, the screen got a hairline crack and the connection to the lcd is broken. The other is that the lcd did not crack, but the connector flex cable is disconnected. The first requires a replacement lcd. The second requires an inspection to see if the flex is disconnected or broken. (You will have to open the phone). If you cannot DIY, then take it to a repair shop. Replacement lcd can be found on ebay.
Does your unit still works even without using touchscreen?
Since you already do hard reset and still it does'nt work. then chances are you have a defective touch screen, probably it is cause by an impact of any kind and produce a crack inside or if your luck, the touch screen flex get loose inside.
here is what you can do if your phone does'nt have any warranty anymore cause opening your phone can forfeit your warrany.
Open tour phone slowly and secure the screw to a safe place and also remember where and how to place the parts you remove. Be extra carefull for the LCD. the touch screen is just above the LCD. Some manufacturers include the touch screen to the LCD and some are separate. You can check visually is there is cracks on the touch screen and also check its flex connector if it is ok.
You can purchase touchscreen, LCD or Both at ebay. be sure that the right model is what you order.
Hope I helped you in some other way. Don't forget to rate me, Thanks...

Digitizer glass is broken, LCD underneath is OK. Replacing the digitizer is tricky even if you get the right one. Often just as cheap to buy the complete replacement digitizer+LCD for around $20 shipped on eBay.
LCD is inside the front glass that has logo of htc
the upper glass is called touch panel or digitizer it is working as u say but lcd is broken u can see visible cracks on it and it may partially display or not at all then ur lcd is broken by pressure or impact u need to get it replaced around like 100-150 dollars depends on the model and size of the lcd screen
Are you sure you can get the parts you need before you go further?
To answer you question hidden screws can be under the mem card flap or Battery flap
But I fear you wont be able to repair it.
How broken is the screen?
