Shower without chlorine. Chlorine is used universally to purify water through the eliminating of bacteria and other microorganisms, but once this chemical is used throughout your home, it can negatively affect your family's personal appearance, comfort, and even long-term health. Our filtered shower heads, handles, and extensions - with patented Chlorgon Water Purification Technology -remove chlorine at a wider temperature range than other shower head systems. Other benefits include pH balancing, reducing the build-up of scale on your tiles and glass, full removal of rust water, dirt, and sediment from your water, and for those areas of the country such as the northeast, where homes access well water (water with a rotten egg odor), the hydrogen sulfide will be removed along with the smell.

Solar hot water not hot

Solar hot water giving you cold showers? Eight tips to warm you up.
Eight tips to get the most from solar hot water
We argue that policy needs to look beyond installation and that installation practices need improving, but what can you do to get an effective installation?
First, seek out independent advice from sources such as local sustainability events and organisations. They can help you understand what suits your circumstances and what characterises an effective installation.
A good organisation is theAlternative Technology Association. They provide free advice to members, sell a solar hot water guide, and organise open house events where you can see and discuss domestic sustainability technologies.
Second, consider whether solar hot water is the best option. It may be that a hot water heat pump or an instant gas system is a suitable choice, depending on where you live, how much cloud cover you have, or what sort of building you are in.
Third, make sure all your hot water pipes are insulated, especially the pipes that go to and from the tank and solar panels. You typically need insulation to be 15 mm thick. Without proper insulation you could lose half the energy you are trying to collect.
Fourth, get a booster switch installed in a convenient place inside, so you can easily turn the booster off if there is plenty of sun, or on if it's cloudy or you need more hot water.
Fifth, if you go solar, install a system that has a sufficiently large tank matched with a sufficiently large solar array for your needs. Water is very good at storing heat. A large tank could help you store solar energy for those rainy days.
Sixth, you may need to change electricity tariffs if your booster is electric, to ensure the sun gets a chance to heat the water before the electricity does.
Seventh, you may need to change your peak hot water use habits so that the tank water is at its coldest after morning use, after which the sun can then heat it during the day. The booster can "top up" overnight, ready for morning showers.
Eighth, before you install solar hot water, examine and discuss household expectations around hot water use. Will they need to change? Are members of your household prepared to make that change?
This may be the most profound change you can make, but also perhaps the most challenging.

Light for filter does not turn green

Hi friend, thanks for your post!

I see that your filter light is not turning green on the panel of your Frigidaire refrigerator. If you have recently changed your filter I would suggest pressing and holding the filter reset button. Should that not correct the issue I would perform a reset on your refrigerator and you can do that by unplugging your power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. I hope this has been beneficial. -Matt

Beeping and fridge tempt is flashing 59

Hey friend, thanks for your post!

Is your Electrolux refrigerator displaying any error code? Typically if something is wrong the appliance will display an error code. I would perform a reset on your refrigerator which you can do by unplugging your power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes.

If that does not help correct your issue it may be a problem within your control panel or sealed system. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnosis and repair your refrigerator. I hope this information is beneficial. -Matt

Can you describe the pump you have? Is it used for household water or a sprinkler system? Typically a household pump will have a storage tank and a pressure switch. 90% of the problems with a pump not turning off is due to the pressure switch.

Our rheem pronto tankless rutg-74xp red light will come home indicating hot water and stay on about 2 minutes and then turns off we have turned off and back on and let water run for 5 minutes and will come...

Before calling service technician, open following link for Rheem troubleshooting resources.

List of causes MIGHT include one of following:
Bad household circuit breaker that powers electronics, or loose wire inside outlet where tankless plugs in.
Tankless fuses and control board.
Water flow rate too low. Minimum .8 gallon required (depending on model)
Tankless inlet filter clogged.
Household aerators clogged at faucets.
Crossover at single-handled faucet
If installed, there can be crossover at mixing valve.
Faulty household check valve, including check valve on re-circulation system if that system is installed.
Restriction in household water line, such as clog at elbow.
Unequal pressure in household hot and cold lines, caused by restriction in hot line. When single-handled faucet turns on, the cold water pressure is higher so hot does not flow and tankless will not turn on.
Loose wire connection inside tankless.
Unit temperature set too high.
Unit temperature set too low.
Water temperature is very hot coming out of tap, so more cold is added, but that reduces amount of hot water flow, so tankless turns off because flow rate is too low.
On some tankless, if water is preheated by solar or other indirect source, the burner will not activate.
High mineral content in water > delime tankless yearly
Misaligned temperature sensor
Low gas pressure. Wrong type of gas. Undersized gas line.
Too many faucets on at same time.
Faulty tankless water valve. Water valve stuck.
Fluctuating household water pressure, for example MUD and PUD district water pressure problems or water well pressure.
Faulty household pressure reducing/regulating valve if installed.
Faulty household pressure tank, if installed -or- pressure tank needs to be installed.

Where is the hiblow relay located?

Usually when you loose the high blow function on the blower motor it's a burnt out connection in the wiring. If you pull the glove box out I think you will find a burnt out wire going to your blower motor. Refurbish the connection. The blower motor can draw to many amps and burn the connection up so it would be a good time to replace the blower motor too.

Time Saving Question

A timer on a conventional electric water heater can save 5-12% on your hot water bill. The water in the tank remains hot for up to eight hours or more while the water heater is not in operation, depending on the insulation and age of the unit. However, the hot water is still available for household use until it is completely consumed. Thus, if a household has a fifty-gallon water heater, it will have fifty-gallons of hot water available while the water heater is not in operation. Most households won't notice the interruption unless they have high hot water use patterns in relation to tank size. It is best to set the timer during hours when hot water use is lowest, typically during the work day or at night. Adjusting the timer may be necessary if households experience a shortage of hot water.
