Shower without chlorine. Chlorine is used universally to purify water through the eliminating of bacteria and other microorganisms, but once this chemical is used throughout your home, it can negatively affect your family's personal appearance, comfort, and even long-term health. Our filtered shower heads, handles, and extensions - with patented Chlorgon Water Purification Technology -remove chlorine at a wider temperature range than other shower head systems. Other benefits include pH balancing, reducing the build-up of scale on your tiles and glass, full removal of rust water, dirt, and sediment from your water, and for those areas of the country such as the northeast, where homes access well water (water with a rotten egg odor), the hydrogen sulfide will be removed along with the smell.

Website for parts for a Pegasus Model 875-9104 , 875-9204 , or 875-9296H

You bought this at Lowes or Home depot I presume?Pegasus faucets are mostly made today by Globe Union Industrial, the same company who makes Danze, Gerber, and some other brands you may be familiar with. Made mostly in China. Thus customer support tends to be less than what you're used to. In the future your best bet is a delta or moen & if you need parts avoid aftermarket, they simply don't work as well & I don't know why. This recommendation is only for sinks, tub & showers. They might look nice going in but they don't last & repairs are either a nightmare or impossible. See the link for Globe Union.

I have a triton Amber 3 shower and last niht the water just stopped coming out mid shower. I turned it off and back on again no water at all .. thenit came back ok for a bit then went off again.. jus

Sounds like it is clogged. Buy a bottle of CLR, put some in a bowl that the shower head will fit in, remove the shower head from the pipe and let it sit in the bowl of CLR for a few minutes. If you run a search, there are regular household items that you can buy instead of the CLR. Might be cheaper.

How do I get the showerhead apart. I have removed the 2 screws in the side of the head and the 6 nozzle bolts. There was 1 large screw/bolt removed in the head also. Now are the two parts pressed into...

At this point the two parts should come apart but are being held with lime build up and if you have lime-a-way soak it in that for awhile one to two hours should do it. If all you have is vinegar it my take all night.

I seem to have air trapped in the Pegasus single handle shower control. It creates a banging noise when turned on of off. Any suggestions?

A water hammer effect is what is happening. Maybe due to high pressure or pipes not properly supported in the wall near the valve. These valves shut water on and off quick causing a sudden stop in flow of water. High water pressure will make banging noises. These are couple of thing's that may be going on if not check out link's below.

Below I have included some links that I hope will help you solve your problem.

We just had it installed, Kitchen counter top, moss Green in color -Corian moving coffee pots with rubber feet leaves scuff marks , plates ceramic or china leaves scuff marks also , and they can not be...

Cleaning All Finishes
Most dirt & residue
Use soapy water, ammonia based cleaner (not window cleaner), rinse and wipe completely dry. Commercially available solid surface cleaners, such as Clean EnCounters® will also work well.
Preventing hard water marks
Rinse and wipe completely dry after cleaning; clean up spills before they dry.
Removing hard water marks
Use a cleaner formulated for removing hard water marks such as CLR or Lime-A-Way.
Difficult residue
Spray residue with Deep Cleaner for DuPont Corian® from Stone Care International. Follow instructions on the bottle. Wash area with soapy water, rinse and wipe completely dry. If residue persists, follow steps below for removing dulling film.
Occasionally, wipe surface with diluted household bleach (1 part water/1 part bleach). Rinse top thoroughly with water and wipe completely dry.

Preventing Heat Damage
While Corian® is heat resistant, as with all countertop materials, it is important to minimize direct heat exposure to protect your surface and investment.

Always use heat trivets or hot pads when placing hot objects on any surface. Always use a trivet under portable heat generating appliances such as a toaster oven. Allow cookware to cool before placing it into a Corian® sink. Preventing Other Damage
In most cases Corian® can be repaired if damaged. Be sure to follow these guidelines to help you prevent any permanent damage to your Corian®.

  • Avoid getting strong chemicals, such as paint removers, oven cleaners, etc., on your Corian® countertop. If a spill does occur, promptly flush the surface with water to fully rinse off the chemical.
  • Do not cut directly on Corian® countertops. Use a cutting board.
  • Boiling water alone will not damage your Corian® sink, however it is a recommended practice to run cold water from the faucet while pouring boiling water into the sink.
Removing fine scratches or a blotchy appearance
You may notice that the surface of your countertop begins to look blotchy. Typically, this is caused by leaving hard water to dry on the surface which will leave a film of minerals. To remove this film:
  • Pour some mild abrasive liquid cleanser, such as Soft Scrub®, on a damp sponge or cloth and rub over area using small circular motions, from the front to the back, then side to side, overlapping the circles until the entire area has been cleaned.
  • Thoroughly rinse the top with clean water and WIPE SURFACE COMPLETELY DRY.
  • Check to see if blotchiness is gone. If not, repeat procedure applying more pressure on the sponge or rag.
  • Continue over all affected areas until all film is removed.
Your new Corian® installation entitles you to certain quality assurance standards as provided in this Residential Limited Warranty. To obtain information and service under this warranty, contact the source from whom you purchased your DuPont™ Corian® installation or DuPont at or call 1-800-426-7426.ifrcor_corianwarranty_10

My shower (fiberglass) drain is leaking and needs to be replaced. I can pop off the drain cover to reveal a pvc collar that is glued down and unmoveable. I have ripped the ceiling open underneath the...

There are a few different drain styles available. If you pop the drain cover off of the shower, does it look like a brass ring pressed up against a rubber boot? If this is the case, that brass ring will have to unscrew first. if this is not the case, There will be a large nut on the underside of your shower that holds the drain in place. Often times, a helper is very beneficial to hold the top part of the drain assembly in place while the other person unscrews the bottom portion. You may say a few choice words during the process, as sometimes an older drain becomes hard to unscrew. There is a special tool for removing the drain, and it is relatively inexpensive. If the pvc is glued into the drain, a section of pipe will have to be cut away to get the tool around the strainer nut. Plan on replacing the trap and strainer. If it is pvc, you will need a coupling, trap, plumbers putty to go around the strainer where it meets the base of the shower, a new strainer, and possibly a couple street 45's and a couple of 45's. Don't forget the glue, primer, and a short piece of pipe.

Why is it that when I turn on the water on my Pegasus K800 tub and shower faucet, water comes out of the spout and the shower head. It is brand new

Your diverter valve probably has a loose washer or seat. It could be defective, but try to tighten the washer and seat first.
