Ensure that the water pump is turned off then locate the water pump in your RV. Typical locations are under the dinette, under the bed, or in a cabinet near the sink. If you can't find it, turn on a faucet and locate the noise coming from the pump (this should be really easy!). A typical water pump will be secured by 4 screws. Remove these 4 screws and slip a rubber mouse pad under the pump. Re-secure the pump being careful to not over tighten the screws. Using a mouse pad will help absorb the vibrations from the pump to the floor. Next, we will locate the rattling water pipes. Turn on the pump. Have a friend open and close any faucet while you try and locate where the clanging noise is coming from. Typical areas are where the cold water pipe passes through or runs along a cabinet wall. In this case, the cabinet acts like a sounding board and creates a lot of noise. Take some 1/2" foam pipe insulation and wrap the pipe where it rattles against the cabinet or flooring. It should slip right over and not require any securing to the pipe. But a little duct tape on each end of the insulation wouldn't hurt. Repeat this step until you have insulated all rattling pipes. Sometimes the water pump can rapid cycle on and off (cycling ON/OFF in less than 2 seconds) during low flow conditions. This can cause pulsations in the water system and create noise. To determine if adjustment is necessary, turn a faucet ON to lower than average flow of water. The pump should cycle, but its "OFF time" must be 2 seconds or longer. If the cycling is correct, no adjustment is necessary. If the pump is cycling rapidly, increase the setting by turning the adjustment screw (see image) clockwise (1 turn MAX.) until the pump operates for 1 sec. with at least 2 sec. "OFF time".

How do i reprime ?

Close the supply valve to the tank. Open the priming port of the pump, (plug on the upper most part of the casing) pour in water until the pump is filled -up. Close the plug just finger tight. Run the pump. slightly open the plug just to bleed the air with little water. If all water is coming out, the pump motor should cut-off indicating the pump is already primed. Gradually open the supply valve. Pump motor will restart again.

Installation manual for Camco 36543 RV PUMP Converter Winterizing Kit

Couldn't find instructions per se, looks pretty straight forward. Take intake line off of pump, install coupling and valve on pump and reattach tank line to valve so that water will be sucked from tank through valve to pump and out to system. Attach hose that comes with kit to valve and it is used to pull antifreeze from jug when you move valve handle to other position.

Pump hums but won't run

awwhhh it sounds as if you stored your pump dry all winter long ill bet, well ya just cant do that after it pumps salt water all summer , salt has crusted up inside pump and valves , try a hot water dose (not on motor) that might get it going again (repeat several times)
otherwise your gonna need to take it all apart clean in hot water and grease all up with foodgrade waterproof grease (see kitchen faucet parts section of hardware store)
on a salt water pool you have to store your filter and pump filled/capped with RV antifreeze (foodgrade) any good rv store sells it
salt wont crust up inside then

Rv water pump

Get under the RV while the pump is running (be safe, chalk the wheels, make shure it is stable), then look for the running pump location. Once found, shut the pump, get back inside and find the compartiment where it is located (usually behind a panel that does not open by hand) use a screw drive to open it. Find the pump and ensure that you verfy the valves and all accessible fittings. To do that use soapy water, apply it on the fittings and valves. If you happend to see bubles forming that means that the pump is sucking air from that area and does not make a 100 percent seal which will falsly lead the shutdown of your pump. Also refer to your pump manual for proper placement of your service valves. Hope it helped!
