Re: How to Install Towel Ring
Place the mounting bracket against the wall and trace around the inside of the two ovals on the bracket. Gently drill a hole into the center of the traced oval. If you hit a stud, you will not need the anchor. Carefully tap the drywall anchors into the holes. Screw the bracket onto the wall, using the screws provided, into the two anchor points. Make sure the set screw is backed out far enough to set the escutcheon over the mounting bracket. Place the escutcheon over the mounting bracket, top first. Tighten the set screw with the Allen Wrench provided.

Usually there is a set screw in the side of the wall mount. If there is loosen that and take the towel ring down. There maybe a second nut or fastener you can tighten up the ball with. If not just buy another one. Some just get worn out over time its normal.
for most towel bar and bath accessories there is a very small screw or allan bolt, located on the underside of the post, which holds the post to the mounting hardware and you can simply unscrew it to remove the post and then remove the hardware w/a screwdriver (usually phillips) saying that...i just looked up the installation instructions for moen towel bars and it says very specifically that the posts snap or click into place on the mounting hardware...it also refers to a square hole located on the underside of the post. perhaps we are meant to put a small flat head screw driver in there to release the "clip" and post. here are the installation instructions: http://www.faucetdirect.com/mediabase/specifications/yb2218_5624sp.pdf hope this helps:)
There should be a "set-screw" (a very small screw) at the bottom of base (fat part) of the towel bar. It screws in to hold the fat part of the bar to the "tab". Loosen the screw by turning it counter-clock-wise. Once loose, the towel bar will lift off the tab. Be careful not to lose the screw!
If you are going to use both a shower curtain and a shower liner, you have two options for installation. You can either use one rod and one set of rings, or you can use two rods and two sets of rings. If you used one rod, line up the liner and the curtain so they are facing one another and thread one ring through each of the corresponding grommets on the both the liner and the curtain. The curtain liner will move as one unit. If you use two rods, you need one set of rings for each, and the liner and the curtain will move independently.
