For a pretty simple work it should cost something like 200 dollars. For a more complicated work it can get to around 500-600 dollar.

Paragon 8141-00 defrost timer wont turn.

One of my first questions is has it worked at all.? If not, probably the wiring is backwards. They generally are good timers. If it has, you may have the power leg to it tripped. Turn off both legs and then back on. This should take care of it. Next , probably the motor. Get a whole new timer. Not worth the savings and effort to fool with it.

I was shopping for a replacement battery for my Acer Aspire and noticed a large range of prices. Do I lose much by not buying OEM for more?

No you don't. You can find bateries manufacture at the same factory with different promotion and double prices. So just mutch the total mAhr to be similar or equal and go for it.

LG B2050. cannot charge battery - there is a red light top left of phone - no information in manual. Any ideas please. Do not want to buy new battery if it is the phone that is at fault

considering that the phone was released in 2005 and is discontinued it is very likely the battery is in need of replacement. ebay would likely be your most inexpensive place to get a replacement. i generally buy any replacement batteries from hong kong... takes awhile to get them. but the cost is low. one thing tho. will the phone power up with the charger plugged in ? if it will not even do that it's time to get a new phone.

Have a 4003-00 Timer for a business park outdoor parking lot lights. I need to change hte tim to come on ~ can't find the book to tell me how to change this? Can you help?

ef74fbb.jpgParagon 4000 series is a mechanical dial timer

fb54fa2.jpg
Image explains general operation of timer
Attach Black tripper to dial at time you want lights to turn OFF
Attach Silver tripper to dial at time you want lights to turn ON
Minimum on-off period is 1-1/2 hours
Re-set dial after power outage.

The dial rotates with passing time
The timer takes the Paragon X2772 tripper
If tripper does not turn lights off-and-on, then you might need new trippers
If dial does not rotate, you might need new timer
If manual override does not work then check electricity

We're dealing with a 1997 Geo Prizm which has been driven only 5 miles in 5 years. I stored the car in my driveway with the parking brake on. How could I tell if the brakes are ruined(rotors, brake pads,...

the pads, unless locked to the rotors, should be ok. Make sure you have no leaks. Brake fluid will deteriorate the hoses once it is used. If you didnt flush the fluid then there is a good chance your hoses will need replaced.

I just put new rotors, pads, and hoses all the way around my 98 Lincoln Mark VIII for $240 and I did the work. Shop wanted $600. That should give you a general idea of the cost you would be looking at.

I BLEW THE AMP BY CONNECTING THE WRONG OHM SPEAKERS CAN MY AMP BE FIXED

Yes! But it depends what you are willing to do. For instance if you can fix it yourself it will cutt the cost. The chances are you blew whatever was on the heatsink, all you need to do is look up those parts on the web and you will find out how much they cost. That will give you an idea how much a repairman will charge for parts anyway. Quote the numbers into google IE: 2SC1220.

I need a picture tube for my mitsubishi vs-5051 40in projection tv, how much do they generally cost? whats a good website or store in my area of manor texas?

Honestly, sorry to give you the bad news and I'm one for trying to repair then throw out but, buy a new 42" flat panel it will be a lot cheaper. Mitsubishi quite making these size CRT's over 5 years ago and a replacement tube would cost more than buying a new replacement 42" TV.
My thoughts is that this 5051 is over 13 years old.

Clock Stopped Turning

Most likely, the timer motor has failed and needs to be replaced. As the timer motor is constantly running 24/7, getting 19 years of use is significant and is well beyond the typical life of a mechanical timer of this type. I know, I've got the same ones on my pool and usually have to replace them every 10-12 years.

As the timer IS 19+ years old, it would be best to replace the entire unit instead of looking to tyr to get just a replacement timer motor, since the cost for a new timer isn't all that much compared to the cost for just the motor.

Intermatic also makes a digital timer version of this type of timer, but for the relatively low price of a new, replacement mechanical timer, it might be a good idea to get another one like you have and expect another long working life.

Sorry that there really isn't much to repair in such an old timer, since the motor is the critical part.

The replacement should be easy to do yourself, just remember to turn off the power breaker and disconnect the power to the timer. All you need to do is exchange the wires into the new replacement timer I find that taking a picture of the timer as it is, will help you get the connections correct for the new timer.

Also, check the model number of your present timer and voltage, (some pool equipment is 100V-AC while others are 220V-AC) to get the correct replacment timer.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards.
